Rigondeux is the equivalent of Alvarez fighting Miguel Cotto, who was best at 140, only Lomachenko dominated that fight and Canelo didn’t dominate.

Gary Russell Jr. was an undefeated champion even though you pretend like you’ve never heard of him. Alvarez struggles with all those types of fighters.

I clearly recall a crowd of Mexicans booing him after the first ggg fight. I also recall an article saying "México no cree en canelo Alvarez" after his fight with Cotto based on the wide margin scorecards that didn't seem accurate. Aside from Marquez, I recall morales saying 2 weeks ago that Canelo likes picking on past prime fighters. Crazy how Mexican fans turn on 2 guys like Marquez and morales in favor of Canelo when Marquez and morales faced the best available while they were in their primes. They better defined what Mexican boxing was considered to be. More so than Canelo ever has. And that's why most Canelo fans are considered to be more groupies than real boxing fans.
