Canelo has had 2 fights above 160. One against a tomato can. Not enough data to support your claim. Pacquiao has had many more fights above 135. Plus in his first 3 fights above 135 he scored knockouts so we need to give it more time.Comment

The way Canelo places his shots. The balance, right shots, the right place, the right time. I dont think Clenbuterol will help any.Comment

Canelo lands a perfect, flush, uppercut counter on 140 lb Cotto's chin.
Didn't even stun him.Comment

I noticed an uptick in Canelo's power since the Liam Smith fight, for what it's worth...maybe even the Khan fight right before that, though it is hard to tell since it was Khan and only one shot...the Smith fight was more of a prolonged fight with several hard shots.
The Chavez Jr fight since then is a little curious since I think every fight since Khan/Smith Canelo's power has been on a different level than I saw earlier in his career...absent that Chavez Jr fight.
The reasoning why exactly I'm not sure...I would imagine at least some of it is natural but not sure about all of it.
The Hitman's power seemed to carry with him up the weights...but at the lower weights he was an ATG puncher so he was kind of on another level...can't think of too many other guys who really carried power with them up the weights.Comment

Sorry but Fielding was knocked out in the first round by Smith and Kovalev was shot. If his power has increased which is arguable it's because he is closer to his natural weight at 160+ compared to 154.Comment
