Despite the fact I know not every single colored person is racists but call out the ones that are. Even YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE.

    **** like this.

You think I'm gonna let some asian person be a racist victim baiting piece of ****? That's you. You think it's okay.
Apparently you think IT'S AYE OKAY.

I was a casual or probably less than a casual until I saw Salido vs Vargas. That fight made me a fan of this sport but I've also learned to appreciate other styles aside from just insane brawling. Lots of respect for Salido from me.

With that being said I haven't been into boxing for as long as some others on here but I do consider myself a die hard now! I watch every fight I can possibly watch, even if i have to watch a recording later.. I read boxing news daily and am also trying to understand the history more. Lots of love and respect for this sport, and Salido was a contribution to that love and respect.

Oh! And for the record, I thought he deserved the win against Vargas but it's been some years since I've seen that. I should watch it again

Salido also got arrested for stealing beer early in the morning.

He won me over when he did that, he's not such a bad guy.

Colored person? Did I just enter 1950? Lol

I agree those that choose figured sides based on race may have some deeper problems and this board is full of those types. There best you can do is call those people out as they arise but it seems to be an exercise in futility to be honest.

My apologies if I lumped you into that group but the wording just came off wrong to me. Keep fighting the good fight.

He's definitely underrated. He lost to p4p guys like Gamboa, Garcia and JMM and also had wins over p4p fighters Lopez and Loma. A mark of a quality fighter is how they perform in the latter part of their career, and after losing to Garcia people assumed he was washed up yet went on an excellent late career surge with a win over Loma, a highly questionable rematch draw with Martinez and a draw with Vargas that could have easily gone to him. If not for those draws he would have been a unified Super Featherweight champ at age 37. I'll never understand how some people dismiss Saldio as a bum yet praise a fighter like Linares when he has lesser quality wins and worse losses in their respective primes.

you guys are petulant and frankly completely clueless. adn the agenda is clear as day.
you are the clueless one chief...and its evident because in my post, that you quoted, i said "someone is pulling strings for him"....=his promoter....

and arum isnt getting loma the salido fight, in his 2nd fight, without getting an ok from loma that hes confident he can take the fight

stop playing the "holier than thou" card here when you have nowhere to go.....when you take a fight like that, in your 2nd fight, you deserve the criticism if you are willing to take the spoils that would have gone with a victory....plain and simple....stop acting like loma didnt know what he was getting into and was blindly thrown in there by his promoter.....

theres no agenda...i simply believe as much credit as he deserves for taking the fight he deserves to get knocked for losing it....you simply cant take a fight like that so soon and be absolved of any criticism if it doesnt go your way......thinking otherwise would be having a clear agenda chief

mikey was the same age as loma when he fought, and beat, salido.....loma choosing to remain fighting guys in headgear for extra years isnt an excuse to me....it might be for some...but im not that easy......loma didnt have a gun put in his mouth by arum to take the fight...he wanted it

yeah is it in his contract that if he pushes arum hard enough that he falls down he has to let him fight orlando salido ?

again, you guys have probably never signed or had a contract put together for you in your lives. probably never even looked at one!
