He wasn't mandatory until after he beat Rivas. He was #1 contender, not the same thing. Wilder gave him 3 chances to earn the shot, Whyte took none of them.

Well I think that's the underlying problem, it's not Wilder who should be dictating who Whyte or any #1 contender has to fight, he shouldn't get to mandate the who or even the when, no champion should. He said he didn't want to be restricted and wanted to choose his own fights and turned down the offer (3 fights is hardly a lifetime).

Nobody is avoiding Whyte and people here keep spinning the narratives. I will say that he has beaten better opponents than most and should get a shot.

AJ took half the fights for 3 top 5's Wlad, Parker, Povetkin. So if this is the method you want to use for picking who wanted it most it has to be AJ.

Jax, Skipper is on record as saying his approach to signing the Wilder/AJ fight was completely wrong and that he didn't go about it the right way. Why are you still trying to pin blame elsewhere?
