yes. robinson was the best fighter in the 40's and 50's. quite a few guys beat him at middleweight. lamotta, basilio, fullmer, turpin, maxim. robinson lost a lot late in his career when he was well over 100 fights in and going broke. he kept coming back and winning the MW title, won it five times IIRC.
