I don't think that ever happened. Who decides who is fighter of the decade or do different groups pick their own fighter of the decade?

            Thread certainly proves this.

Canelo fans were able to move on.

pacquiao fans got soul reaped when Mayweather conquered the filipino. Occupying the minds of manny's fans for years

Alvarez has a mentally strong fan base.

The only official(ish) FOTD award is given by the BWAA and they've only done it for the last 2 decades. Since no-one beat both Manny and Roy the answer is obviously 'no'.

Hard to tell if the TS is being humourous or just misses Floyd a great deal.

There is no one who can make an argument against Floyd in ring. Instead we have writers and fans who try to diminish him. Nothing is ever based on merit. Floyd will never get his just desserts but that how it is with true greatness and artistry. The haters made him richer. The haters made his manager powerful. The haters gave birth to PBC. Floyd beat the fighters, the writers, the haters and the promoters. Truly the greatest career in boxing history. So Pac can have the fighter of the decade, when it was all on the table for true Supremacy, one mad raised his hand signaling victory.

We'll all be dead and forgotten, but historians will be talking about him hundreds of years in the future.
He is a good fighter but not as good as you are saying. Not many think he is the greatest of all time or tbe. I have seen boxers I think would beat him at his best either in person or on film. He is only 42 years old and it certainly not the opinion of most experts that he is the best fighter ever. Many have him down around number 20 or 30 even if you have him number 1. So 250 years from now how will that change? Some will say he was the greatest but many will still say he was not even close to being the greatest. He is just one great fighter among many great fighters in boxing history. Sure he says he is the greatest ever but that is just talk and lots of boxers say that. Historians may be talking about him 250 years from now but you can be sure they will also be talking about Pacquiao, Armstrong, SRR, SRL, Duran, Marciano, Louis, Dempsey and all the other great famous boxers. Floyd is right up there with them but not above them.He never lost a fight partly because he was so good but partly because he was always in top condition for all his fights and he was careful about who he fought and when and at what weight. Henry Armstrong held the world title at 126, 135 and 147 at the same time and fought a draw with the middleweight championas well. Mayweather can't top that. Armstrong defended the welterweight title successfully 26 times in a row and Mayweather can't equal that either. If you want to call Mayweather the greatest boxer ever that is your choice but most don't agree with you.
