lets talk about winning a world title....

why is it when in reference to tanks rather weak resume by age 25(hes 25 now right? just turned?).....the stance seems to be "when you own a world title the excuses go out the window"??? it seems to be a general stance of his detractors

now conversely....if you reference adrien broner being a 4 division champion they talk about who he beat for them and how they arent that good...and how its easy to attain world titles and they are cheapened in todays modern game?

why are to many able to flip their stance on a dime when you relate different things to different people?

"oh i like this guy so i support this"...."oh i hate this guy so i dont like this"...???

    its kind of gross

They just hate on real men, because some dude stole their girl when they weren't looking. It's just envy tbh. Adrian Broner probably stole their lunch money when they were teenagers or something. Just my 2 centz.

it reminds me of when golovkin was ducking ward

"well i mean duh yeah...of course...i mean like he had a shot at canelo coming at some point...big bucks! big chance to enhance his legacy and star....why would he take a risk against a much bigger guy i mean youd have to be ****** duhh...it was a smart business decision"

when applied to other guys it becomes "i dont see a dime of the money so what do i care..im a boxing fan i want the best fights i want to see the best guys fight the best and take risks and challenges duhhhh"

I'm not sure how the argument against broner is in conflict with the first argument?

It's because he has the talent to have a much stronger resume at his age. He proved it, by knocking out Pedraza.

Pedraza was undefeated and even after the loss, hasn't been knocked out since. He's not that good, but for a 22 year old, stepping up for the first time, it was a good win.

What's gross, is going out of your way to defend a boxer, who doesn't care about the sport or his fans. He's been conning people into believing that he's great, with nothing to show for it, besides a world title he lost on the scales, and another one was handed against a tomato can. You think Davis gives a shit about how you or any of us feel? He already said that he's milking the game.

hes 25 and has headlined been on 7 straight showtime/ppv cards...sold out in his hometown already....and already makes around what loma makes per fight

do you want me to show you who spence, crawford and golovkin were fighting at age 25?

everybody is "milking" the game...even the guy everyone swore was different and would fight anyone and knock out anyone....everyones hero golovkin....he milked the game too...but his fans swore he was different

heres my other all time favorite

"tank is waiting for loma to get old"

"canelo waited for golovkin to get old and hes doing it again waiting for him to get older"

wilder, whom many felt was outboxed and beaten by fury, wanted an immediate rematch to silence the cirtics....fury runs to top rank and espn...arum admits they are putting the rematch off for some time.....and wilder is now 34 years old...and still some of these clowns actually talk and act like its wilder that has been avoiding this...LOL

tank "admitted hes milking the game"....ok?!?!?

if they are going to pay him 1.5-2 million to fight the guys hes fighting why not?

where was the outcry when golovkin was getting the same pay to fight dom wade, willie monroe etc?!?!?! there wasnt any....

tank still has plenty of time to build a solid resume....but at least hes honest...id rather have a guy be honest with me than sell me a line of BS or try to blow smoke up my arse about wanting to be great and all that crap when they are really chasing cash cows and avoiding risky fights to do so

So is this a topic to say that Gervonta's resume is good for where he is at?

Because, I don't believe it is all that good. I don't think he is all that good. He's obviously better than most but he's not this supremely amazing all time great that his marketed as being. He's like a young Gamboa without the pedigree.

And Gamboa is another one I didn't think too much of.

There you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. Curt Henning is a Tank fanboy and supports his cherry picking.

Where were Jacobs and Canelo before GGG fought Brook? Where was Saunders ever? GGG fought the guys you mentioned, because there wasn't anyone better to fight at the time, who was willing to face him.

He could've already had a solid resume by now, if he didn't fight so many bums. Tank and his team are blowing smoke up your ass, by making him out to be more than what his resume suggests.
