I agree with you there.
We often forget just how prolific some of those old timers were.
Tiger Jack Fox actually fought five days after a street fight in which he got stabbed in the chest. Those guys often fought for their food and rent. I think a lot of the recent boxers, not counting Hagler and some others, are talented but SOFT compared to those guys!

I understand your logic, but I disagree with you there.

I really think that some of those old timers were absolute beasts and would have beat the tar out of some of the best boxers of recent memory.

Not many guys like that in modern times, but one absolute dog that comes to mind from recent decades is Hagler ... he’d give a real fight to any of those older guys IMHO
