By Keith Idec - LAS VEGAS Stephen Espinoza didn't sugarcoat Showtime's 2019 in boxing. As the man primarily responsible for all of Showtime's boxing broadcasts, no one spends more time and effort examining every fight the network televises than its president of sports and event programming. Espiweasal needs sacking. The man has allowed himself and showtime to get squashed. Not long left in this game for that shilling little turd.

This was EXACTLY what HBO was saying before they left. Wilder vs. Ortiz should be on regular Showtime NOT PPV!

If DAZN charging $10 a month and spending godly amount of $$$$ on fighters what’s Showtimes excuse????

I think Haymon is playing Showtime, preferring the more widely distributed FOX network. Showtime will get the scraps.

He's right about the production. ESPN and FOX, the new leaders, have never been known for top shelf video resolution. They go with a softer 720-ish HD.

So while I'm enjoying the huge increase in the frequency of shows, I do miss the high quality 1080 HD of HBO, who I dropped after they left boxing, and Showtime.

Cancelled Showtime as the boxing cards were trash. Only reason to keep it was to watch Billions and I can catch it at my brothers house during Sunday football.

We will see how long DAZN can last. Everyone spends big in the beginning! Remember how people were whining about Haymon (PBC) overspending in 2015? Well that's what DAZN is doing right now, and so is Eddie Hearn! Let's see how 2020 plays out! I hope SHO stays afloat, because I love SHOBOX!
