Jesus Christ what a ****ing fight. It might be recency bias because of the snooze fest that was canelo-kovalev but this bout was amazing. So many swings of momentum throughout the fight and a few questions answered about Inoue. Full respect to donaire, the old lion, he is truly deserving of being a first ballot hall of famer. Big respect to Inoue for battling through the early cut and taking bombs. We are blessed to be boxing fans in 2019

I have much respect for Nonito especially in the 8th and 9th rounds, I feel he could have scored a KD In the 9th, had that man woozy
I guess as talented as Inoue is, he isn’t invincible and almighty powerful against better competition
He’s supposed to announce a top rank signing imminently
Idk how he will translate to casual American audiences in ESPN, idk if he will connect with folks outside of the hardcore boxing bubble
But that’s not his problem, he just gotta fight and collect checks stateside, good luck to him and his career
Btw Rigondeaux schooled Nonito
Rigo is 122, Walter 126, Loma 130 Garcia 135 Pacman 140 Floyd 147 etc.

Great fight.
I had it even after 9 but Inoue clearly took the last 3 rounds with a KD in the 11th for a comfortable win. Inoue showed some great skill and heart considering the size difference but didn't exactly look like a "monster" against a well past-prime Donaire who had moved down two weight divisions for this tournament. You'd think at this stage of his career that weight drop would weaken him.
I thought Frampton did a better job against a faded Donaire even though that was at featherweight. Frampton is a small guy too who was at super-bantam in his better years and you'd think Donaire would've been more comfortable at featherweight at his age.
Inoue's not quite what the hype suggests but still a very talented little fighter.Last edited by 786; 11-07-2019, 11:30 AM.

Im asking you to name me a highly rated fighter that Crawford stepped up to fight recently.
Because if you can't, then why is Crawford #1 over Inoue, who just did?
