So most people have Canelo going 2-2 in these fights
Scoring Canelo's 4 Controversial Decisions

Canelo - Anyone who argues this one YDKSAB
Canelo - Lara ran a marathon, Canelo literally had to sprint to catch up to this guy! Regardless Canelo was landing to the body all night
Draw - On fight night I had Canelo winning 7-5. Rewatched it a few times since then and I think Canelo's strategy was all wrong here. It should be pointed out that Canelo went to the ropes voluntarily, GGG did not force him there.
Canelo - GGG lost his manhood in this fight, he was emasculated in front of millions of people. He hasn't been the same since. GGG left the ring in tears, wanted to change his name afterwards, and forgot to speak English? Wow. Talk about a mental breakdown. It was unbelievable.Comment

I thought Canelo clearly beat Trout. It was competitive but I can’t see how anyone has Trout winning that.
The Lara fight I had Lara 7-5 or a draw. I didn’t mind Lara not getting the decision because he was incredibly negative and didn’t want to fight, but he probably did win about 7 rounds.
GGG won both fights. First fight was 9-3,8-4 kind of fight. GGG won the second fight 7-5 but a draw would be ok.Last edited by deathofaclown; 11-06-2019, 04:43 PM.Comment

Canelo beat Trout and Lara, lost twice to Golovkin.
The Lara fight could also have been a draw. I don't think Trout has an argument though.Comment

If you outland your opponent in power punching in more rounds than him, then you’re probably going to win. And rightfully so, that’s exactly how the majority of scorecards are. But all you can do is drink your beer and watch fans trying to talk about how some guy who jabbed his way through a fight should’ve won. Landing more meaningful punches on your opponent, per round, will probably get you the fight guys. That’s just how things work. You have your own scoring system, where you value jabs more than power punches and that’s good for you. But that’s not how you score fights. You score who landed the better punches in a round. Not who threw/landed more jabs. If you come to understand this, then you’ll realize how Canelo “controversial” decisions were actually scored pretty accurately, including his Draw vs GGG.
Canelo - Canelo and Trout outlanded themselves in power punches in 6 rounds apiece, with Canelo scoring a KD to break the tie.
Canelo - Canelo outlanded Lara in power punches in 10 of 12 rounds.
Draw - Canelo and GGG outlanded themselves in power punches in 6 rounds apiece. (Not really, Canelo outlanded him in 7 rounds to 5, but one round was so close (10 vs 9 power punches) that I count it as even)
Canelo - Canelo outlanded GGG in power punches in 9 out of 12 rounds.Comment

Another one that without the KO would’ve been on the list “controversial” decisions is Canelo vs Kovalev. A lot of fans inexplicably had it 7-3 Kovalev at the time of the stoppage. With Kovalev throwing 575 jabs, thinking he can jab his way to a decision. The same people say there was nothing behind those jabs and the fight was fixed. All around, just a bunch of nonsense. So these people were giving Kovalev the rounds for jabs that had nothing behind them, despite Canelo landing the better shots in more rounds. I had the fight 7-3 Canelo, the same way Boxingscene Live scoring accurately scored it. Canelo outpunched Kovalev in power punches in 8 of those 10 rounds before the 11th round. But in round 8 Canelo landed 8 vs Kovalev’s 7, so too close, making Canelo clearly outlanding Kovalev in 7 rounds.
Do I score fights based on compubox? No. Compubox just always seems to align with what the scores are for me.Comment

Very accurate depiction of these fights. Even Abel said GGG didn’t fight like we trained. He didn’t follow the gameplan. He stuck to his jab, backed up all night, and was refusing to fight a come forward Canelo. Canelo outlanded this dude in 10 out of 12 rounds in power shots. You do not lose a fight if you outlanded your opponent in 10 of 12 rounds with power shots. If you do, that’s called a robbery. Which is what some people wanted. They wanted the verdict to go to GGG as a robbery. Abel subtly agreed with the judges and gave Canelo his props, and was subsequently fired by a bitter GGG.Canelo - Anyone who argues this one YDKSAB

Wouldn’t be mad at a draw in the Lara fight either. That’s one of the worst fights I ever seen. The fact that it was a PPV made it worse.Comment
