Floyd controlled the pace, but not often enough to win more rounds. He simply got outworked, as the compubox numbers reflect. The compubox numbers reflected accurately what my eyes and most ppl's eyes saw.

Outhustling doesnt matter when you actully score fights. him and Floyds punches were much more clean nd effective when he did throw them.
by this scoring rational. jermaine taylor would have at least two loses and ricky hatton would certainly have a couple as well. so i really dont think this is correct, based on the given examples.

Seeing as how the number of punches you throw doesnt matter in terms of rational scoring, its an irrelevant point.

this isnt A scoring rational, it is THE scoring rational.
That is the way it is....or the way it is supposed to be, anyways.

it may be the way its supposed to be but the truth is. its not the way its done anymore. judges score by workrate nowadays. thats precisely why taylor has the mw titles and hatton is still undefeated. american judges score fights for hbo based on workrate.

Uh, yes punches thrown do matter. if you aggression is effective, then that helps you out on the cards, period. if two guys land the same amount of shots, but one guy is getting the better of it and also throwing more shots, then he deserves the fight.

Now if the limited shots Floyd were landing had a good effect on Castillo, then it'd be a different story.

If you throw less, more accurate punches, you are the more effective agressor.

Think about what you are saying.
If two guys land the same amount of shots, but one throws more shots, who is the more effective agressor?
