No surprise that Kov was outboxing Canelo, as it's no surprise that Canelo caught up to Kov after he gassed. Floyd and his camp steered his career away from guys like that. Oh yeah I forgot about that killer Conor McGregor
Kov is 36 years old and was a 4-1 underdog. You are over inflating the risk to force the narrative to fit your anti Floyd agenda.

There was no reason for Canelo to be getting outboxed by someone this old.

What this fight really does is kill the narrative that Canelo was green when he fought floyd. He wasn’t green, he just isn’t a great defensive fighter, which is fine.

Canelo blessed with good genetics and values learning new skills. Even if he didnt fight Floyd. I think he would still be a smart fighter with defensive skills.

I think that fight taught him other things outside of defense imo

The young Canelo was clearly inspired by Floyd's style. This mature Alvarez idk
        - -Canelo US debut age 18 against SSMosley prospect nephew was entirely defensive.

TUE 50-0 wasn't even a radar blip on his consciousness.

          - -Canelo dehydrated blue at 152 by TUE 50-0 at the weighin and limited to 165 limit fight night after routinely scaling 170+ previous.

          Big Dumm is it?

I rewatched the fight. Mayweather made Canelo look amateurish. Floyd was a level better in that fight. And styles are not close.

I dunno why the **** y'all are comparing skill level.

Canelo does look similar to Money in spots, Money being better at being Money doesn't stop Canelo from looking similar.

Tua and Tyson are similar too. Everyone sees it, no one cries about how much greater than Tua Mike is or was, no one feels the need to point out Mike skill levels. It's pretty much the same situation except a whole lot less crying.

No one said Canelo's the defensive master Money is or is even trying to be, Canelo's clearly much more aggressive and means to be much more aggressive, but, when he does want to be defensive he's pretty good at it and often dodges in a manner similar to Floyd's avoidance techniques.

              Y'all eat a ****.

It’s obvious. He doesn’t have the same footwork because he is bulky but his upper body movement he had to copy what he could. We all learn from someone.

I am not over inflating anything.

Styles make a fights, and you sir are playing Kovalev down to fit your Floyd crusade.

Floyd and the camp, yeah you could be bigger, but Floyd wasn't taking any risks with anybody who would have a significant height/reach advantage and knew how to use it. Floyd was not putting his skills to the test.
Canelo did and is the better for it.
