Pathetic. He whored himself out for $12M, he knew the circumstances he was in coming off a brutal fight with Yarde where he almost got KOed.

Kovalev will never be a champion again. He'll get demolished by both Bivol and Beterbiev and then call it a career.

Canelo haters keep making pathetic excuses as per usual, the reality is that we are witnessing greatness in front of our very own eyes. Canelo an ATG and the best fighter out of Mexico EVER!

            No doubt.

I was doubtful that Canelo could beat Kov. Size difference was too much to ignore but I have no shame in admitting I was wrong.
Canelo is an ATG for sure. He’s only 29 so the haters will come around eventually

Not a DAZN subscriber, eh? That was a friendly sparring session for 10 rounds. They even touched gloves and smiled at each other at the end of every round. Kovalev was just so thankful for the paycheck.

Some will continue saying Canelo was green when Floyd beat him.
The truth is Canelo after his “experience” with Floyd went on to struggle against Lara and arguably lost to GGG in the first fight.
He also had a close fight with Cotto so to say he was green or young against Floyd is just nonsense.
Floyd beat him, period. Floyd would have beaten him two years after if they were to fight.

I am not shïtting on Canelo at all. I am a fan and think he is going to be an ATG but he got beat by a guy that started his career at 130 and was also 14 years older than him.

Maybe Canelo stops being the king of weight stipulations and the “haters” won’t have much to say. A lot of us haters are on record saying he should get full credit if it was true that there was nothing extra in the contract about weight. It wasn’t true, it was a lie.

He didn’t look like any kind of Krusher though. I don’t recall him throwing a single punch with bad intentions. Just a bunch of soft jabs and 1-2s. He fought sooo timidly while being sooo much bigger. Canelo was also extra cautious but I give him credit for working his plan to just keep Kovalev busy enough to get him tired, then go for a late rounds KO. Not a great fight to watch, but a great finish by Canelo for sure.

I was asking myself why Kova is not throwing the right with bad intentions, he could be tired or thinking about his 12M. TBH, I don't blame him, I would take the money too, KOV is on his way out of boxing. This is prize fighting, invest and stay rich 4ver. He deserves it as a boxer.
