Because there was a penalty in the side deal. It was minus $10,000 for each right hand landed and kov wasnt gonna *** up his side money

Even if he was afraid of being countered he had to throw a few hard shots to let Canelo know what the power feels like. A fighter of Kov's caliber should had at least landed hard shots anywhere, body, arms, anywhere so Canelo can feel the difference.

He was petty patting all night.

Theres a difference between conserving your energy, throwing for speed and just plan NEVER throwing with power, you cant never throw your money punch the entire fight, which is what Kovalev did.

Like did it ever occur to them they might have to take some punches from a middleweight to land their own? Kov was getting punched ANYWAY and now Canelo had no reason to NOT keep walking him down with Kov not throwing beyond 20% power.
The problem is that Kovalev doesnt have Golovkin's chin. He knew Canelo hits hard also, and the 11th round proved that.

Exactly. We all know Kovalev is a kind of fighter with a mean streak yet he refused to throw his money shots out of fear? I dont buy that sht. Not even one hard punch makes no sense to me.

Common sense tells you to show whose boss when fighting a smaller man and Kovalev did nothing to gain respect.

It's because of a lack timing, speed, hand to eye coordination and reflexes. In other words he is old my friend. It's called the signs of an aging fighter.

He was scared to get countered. It was clear that those body shots early and left hooks caught his attention.

actually kov plan was working, he was fighting his way to a points win until canelo found him out.

Against someone of poorer timing, Kovie had that just by cruising.

The cards are always tipped in Canelos favour, so much so tht even May had a hard time lol

Difference is that JCC was always trash. Kovalev never fought like he did last night.
