I though Nelo was gonna stop him pre fight. But I didn’t see that KO coming during the fight. It was quick. A legit hurtful shot followed by a coffin nail.

I’m hoping for Beterbiev next; a real live beast of a challenge & not a fighter on the slide but I can’t imagine Clenello will want any part of that.

Yes, I agree with Canelo. I saw the same pitty patty stuff from GGG when he was walked down and faced real Mexican style. Canelo's counters are deadly and everyone is afraid to open up when in front of him. Canelo kept the pressure on Kov all night. Kov was tiring and his shots lost steam after the 5th round. I didn't think Canelo had enough pop to stop him, but man...his shots were thudding tonight.

Canelo is the complete package man...he knows how to finish. Great precision with those last two shots

I didn't see Kovalev throw any bombs straight down the pipe all night. I know Canelo's counter punching is top level, but it was like he was giving him too much respect???? I thought this jump would be too high for Canelo. Good win! I hope Kovalev retires with his health. ESPN let Kovalev fight on DAZN. Send over Beterbiev the beast!

It came out of nowhere so I doubt it

Kov only needed 1 more round. He banked on Kov gassing out

Andre Ward was **** on with his assessment of Kovalev. The Krusher has long gone, no doubt about that. So many good fights for Canelo now. Canelo vs Beterbiev would be worth a watch.

He is. I used to knock his feet and that he used to step back and reset after every combo. He’s improved both these elements. I don’t know if he could ever throw a hundred punches in a round if he had to. He may never need to. I still see him take a round or two off, but you know he comes on strong in 11 and 12. I think that’s what I admire most about him.
