So let's hypothetically take this approach. How would Haymon guarantee DAZN type pays for his next 10 fights? Every PPV fight would have to be the minimum of his Mexican holiday pays at DAZN which is $34 million.

So I don't understand the OP's angle in taking everyone in this thread for a ride, and its funny how many posters take the out of context info for granted. lol
The thing is PPV revenue isn't capped. There will be fights, like for example Canelo/Fielding, where its better to be on DAZN than PPV because that fight will not sell enough PPV's to make Canelo the same $35 mil DAZN would pay him.

Then there are fights, for example, Canelo/Spence or Canelo/Ward where there is a real possibility the fights will generate large PPV sales where Canelo would make more than $35 mil.

That has nothing to do with why he said that. Read the article and they explained it goes back further. He's more upset at Oscar attacking his trainer than anything to do with GGG.

You GGG Stan's are ridiculous. GGG's life revolves around Canelo. Not the other way around

How has Haymon done for the Charlo's careers? Andrade? It took Wilder 40 fights to finally get a big payday against a known opponent in Fury. But we are also supposed to believe that all PBC fighters are earning secret checks above their advertised purses, even for non-PPV events and PPVs that flop.
This is untrue. PBC fighters are guaranteed more than what is reported to the State omissions, no different than DAZN fighters.

Also instead of using Charlo the better example is Floyd given Canelo is the sport's top earner. There is a real possibility Haymon would have Canelo earning more money. Of course there are some fights where he would earn more with dazn.

Then post the entire article man. No one is buying a sub just to read it.

Besides, I don't get this whole loyalty trip Canelo is on. Which fighters are loyal? Most of them have gone through different trainers, managers, promoters. We don't trash athletes from any other sport expecting them to be loyal to their agents, coaches or respective teams. Sure the city losing that athlete will be salty, but by and large, athletes are going to do what is best for their careers. Oscar switched coaches several times after losing big fights, not a big deal. Canelo was fortunate enough to have a good working relationship with Reynoso. That has to do more with luck than blind loyalty.

I have feeling Haymon does compensate outside of the purse protocol knowledge, non-disclosure, and no one else's business. Though it would be funny if Haymon took 10% from anything he's involved with!

For example, Haymon helps a boxer purchase a car and the boxer tells the salesman, ''I Want To Thank Al Haymon...''

It's funny to see Canelo referring to "loyalty", but doesn't mention how he illegally breached his contract with his old promoter then didn't want to pay them their fair share when he first hooked up with Oscar.

Haymon got Floyd got $32 mil per fight plus PPV upside, plus percentage of parking, beer sales, ticket sales, foreign tv rights, and ANYTHING that made money from the PPV.

Canelo is getting $36 mil with 30% of the PPV going to his promoter.

                  Do the math

They're just ignoring Haymon got Floyd $32 mil when he was the biggest star in the sport. And that was BEFORE PPV revenue. Canelo is capped & has to pay 30% to a promoter from profits from the event. It's really simple math
