So it's fight week. What's your official prediction for Kovalev vs Canelo?

This is the most dangerous fight possible for canelo I’m hoping he can pull it off but wouldn’t be surprised to see Kova out on top.

I'll be rooting heavily for Canelo but I don't see him winning this one, Kovalev is gonna put his weight on top of him and tire him out and Canelo doesn't have the size or strength that Ward had to deal with that. Only thing Canelo has over Ward, which gives him a chance is a two handed attack on the inside and if Canelo can work the body successfully early he has a shot. That's still a slim chance because Kovalev is more likely to keep Canelo at the end of his jab early.

Kovalev will get an early knockdown (round 4 or sooner). Perhaps two knockdowns. If Canelo gets hurt the fight will end early.

If Canelo recovers well, he'll probably get a knockdown of Kovalev in the mid-late or late rounds. There is a chance he finishes Kova, depending on how Kova recovers.

If Kovalev does recover, I believe he will TKO Canelo in the late rounds. Possibly even a KO.

There are lots of variables due to each fighters skills and vulnerabilities. I'll bet that Kovalev wins. I won't be completely surprised if he doesn't however ... it's hard to judge how much Kovalev has left. If he is still Krusher, Canelo will go down. If Kovalev is truly still able to compete with the likes of Beterbiev, Canelo will go down hard and it will be career-changing in a very bad way. Canelo won't be the same ever if that Kovalev shows up.

As always, if all other scenarios don't end the fight and it goes to a decision, Canelo has at least a 60/40 chance of getting a decision.

Canelo has never had a KO of a big-time opponent. If Kovalev shows up "old and tired", Canelo could get his 1st major KO here. That's a big if though ...

I believe that Kovalev wins in either a TKO or KO.

I got Kovalev by UD or late tko. I dont see Canelo stopping Kovalev. If Alvarez wins this Saturday, it would be by close SD/UD albeit controversial.

Canelo wide on points. Not sure if he hurts/drops Kovalev, but certain Canelo won't get dropped himself. Dominant UD for Canelo on the Mexican beef, Kovalev to look like an old man.
