  • Canelo Kovalev OR Masvidal Diaz?

Which one y’all watching, and which one y’all think is gonna sell more?

I personally am more intrigued to watch Diaz Masvidal. Two thug ass personas about to scrap it out.

Canelo Kovalev isn’t really too intriguing. Canelo’s dance partners haven’t been too exciting. His last fight against Jacobs was a snooze fest.

    BMF BABY!!

I'm watching both but I think UFC will have more viewership all around.

I DO know both events have LOADS of tickets still available.

I'm not interested in UFC journeymen. They have good marketing for that fight but both guys are faded veterans who aren't well known by casuals. I think the Canelo fight does slightly better based off his popularity. It's hard to compare them because one is pay per view and the other is a streaming service. In comparable metrics I think Canelo-Kovalev does a bigger gate and gets more search volume on Google.

Masvidal just KO’d Darren Till and Ben Askren in dominant fashion.

Nate just dismantled Pettis in his first fight back in 3 years, and he did that quite dominantly as well.

I wouldn’t call them Journeyman, since Masvidal’s stock actually is the highest it’s ever been, and Nate now being a certified meal ticket for other UFC fighters.

It’s gonna be a brawl, a good Ol war. And rumor has it Mcgregor might be fighting the winner so...

I believe there’s much more hype around the Masvidal Diaz fight at MSG than Canelo Kovalev.

A Miami Goon vs. a Cali thug is the marketing for the BMF.
              Loads of excitement.

                  F'ing ******!!

Not directed at anyone here but the decisions that led up to both events being on the same night. Both organizations are just taking money and flushing it down the toilet.

Nah I’ve never been much of a Canelo fan. I like him but his fights aren’t very entertaining. His best performances are against lesser/mismatched opponents that’s why he’s not officially hailed as an “elite” fighter such as a Pacquiao, Mayweather, RJJ, etc.
The percentage of his success due to the right marketing is completely in your face and obvious.

As a matter of fact the Canelo and GGG fights were actually a bit underwhelming as well.
No KD’s, nobody taking a big risk to put his opponent on the mat.

If you want to challenge, why don’t you name Canelo’s most entertaining fight?
