Canelo Kovalev OR Masvidal Diaz?

I'm not interested in UFC journeymen. They have good marketing for that fight but both guys are faded veterans who aren't well known by casuals. I think the Canelo fight does slightly better based off his popularity. It's hard to compare them because one is pay per view and the other is a streaming service. In comparable metrics I think Canelo-Kovalev does a bigger gate and gets more search volume on Google.

That's ultimately the Elephant in the Room. Between both cards it's HIGHLY likely Canelo v Kovalev will have a higher amount of illegal streams as where people will still shell out money for conventional PPV.

As it concerns both guys' star power, Masvidal is coming off one of the most watched highlights of 2019 with the KO over Askren and Nate Diaz is coming off pummeling Pettis and is still known as the guy who gave Connor his 1st UFC loss. Needless to say, the UFC card has received much more mainstream buzz than Canelo vs Kovalev which was squeezed into the schedule at the 11th hour with very little promotion.

But honestly, Nate probaly has more American followers and half of Canelo’s are probaly Mexico natives.

I personally have never been a huge Canelo fan and I’m half Mexican. I don’t know why.

canelo/kov will sell more... boxing always does.. but im watching diaz vs masvidal for sure! guarantee a great fight. not too sure about canelo/kov tho..
