I can't believe I wasted 2 hours of my father's 70 year old life watching this card. Gonzalez spent much of the fight feinting instead of letting his hands go while Shakur spent every minute playing it safe against an overmatched and tailor made opponent. Shakur isn't a compelling enough fighter to warrant headlining his own premium fight card.

I guess ESPN pays Timothy Bradley extra money to over hype every fighter in their stable. He already crowned Shakur a world champion, in every weight class, all the way through 147, after the fight. Or maybe because Tim is friends w/Ward & Crawford. Maybe it’s just me but I didn’t see the comparisons yet that ESPN was trying to make or hint to before the fight by showing highlights of Leonard, Whitaker, & Floyd.

They need to bring Teddy back and get rid of that worthless drama queen Mark Kriegel. Teddy was right by saying he doesn’t know a damn thing about boxing. Every time I hear his voice I am expecting worthless **** to pass his lips and I cringe.

Gonzalez wasn't letting his hands go because he didn't like getting hit. It's easy to sit back and criticize that when you're not taking the punches. The "play it safe" line is ******. You must have expected Stevenson to stick his chin out and let Joet hit him.

Because that's an example of a gifted elite fighter recognizing he is in the ring with an overmatched fighter and aggressively unloading his arsenal on said opponent with the intent to get them outta there. That might have been the last time we saw Floyd really in seek and destroy mode sans Ortiz retribution shots. (Not counting the farcical "fight" and KO of Conman Mctapper).
