  • The link below should take you to an, I guess an index it could be called, where all of the fights from today are already posted* I cannot remember whether or not it will want you to create an account, I've had one a few yrs, I've mentioned the site in a few other threads here on the forum. its the equivalent of a Russian Facebook+YouTube. It's safe and I can't see how any fight fan wouldn't wanna be aware of this resource

*as well as EVERY fight broadcasted it would seem, going back at least 5 yrs or so, probably MUCH, MUCH longer as it currently has more than 11,000 fights

Right? The more I thought about it, I am not sure whether it is a good thing or not, which is about par for the course with my indecisive backside. It would be interesting to see the results though. I am surprised somewhat to even hear they'd do it though as, let's say they actually were necessary for one of these fights, and they go to those cards and they're just ridiculously outta whack with the original three cards? Or if they are publicised, or just leaked, a long time down the road from when "example fight" was held, and you end up with a situation where they are inadvertently telling a fighter who, on the night was declared the loser, and now "whelp, remember that fight where you swore you got totally effed? Well, yeah, you apparently really did cause these guys woulda gave you the fight..." I dunno, just seems a thing that could later create a lot of headaches. It also seems like something that could be made into a good thing in theory, but boxing fans and those in the sport are often so jaded, and many of the athletes and their teams have had boxing do them dirty enough to where being jaded is understood, that this setup would, in the end, just have people getting even more tin foil hats out.

      • 117-112? Joke card. Taylor is a dirty dirty fighter, rabbit punches, lacing, leading with the shoulder, excessive leaning. Gutted for prograis

        • I had it 114-114 watching live at o2. Great fight, but I felt all the way through that it was still to catch fire.

Looking at the scorecards, the judge that had it 115-113 gave the last round to Taylor, which I disagree with! Would have been a majority draw otherwise. A very close fight and both can be proud.

All my friends had Taylor ahead - one had 116-112 the other three had 115-113.

If there was majority round scoring then it would have finished 6-6. There should be a rematch down the line, but likely a mandatory for Taylor and then hopefully Ramirez in summer/autumn 2020. Taylor will likely fight Ritson next.

The 117-112 card is shocking. Taylor's winning margin was MAX 2 points!

Prograis should stick around at 140, plenty of good fights for him to take whilst waiting to fight Ramirez/Taylor winner (if it happens). Prograis v. Baranchyk, Zepeda, Postol, Pablo Cesar Cano, Algieri would all be entertaining fights and I'd favour him in all. He's at worst no.3 in the division and should try to place himself for a mandatory shot somewhere.

          • Close fight but the right guy won.

            • I thought Taylor was up by a round at the start of the 11th, however he had his worst round of the fight and then seemed to continue to take his foot off the gas in round 12. I had Prograis 7-5, purely because of the 11 and 12th rounds. Excellent fight, a shining example of neither fighter willing to submit to fatigue and lethargy. How would a rematch play out??

I haven't seen this mentioned but Prograis landed an absolute thunderbolt of a straight left in what I think was the 9th? Looked very similar to the straight that ko'd pacman. I think 99.9% of the division goes to sleep from a shot like that, Taylor has a p4p chin if nothing else!

              • 117-112 judge should never score another fight again! Close fight, 115-112 was proper imo. Regis came on too late. Rough n tumble but that's what you SHOULD expect from a British fighter, especially in Britain. Prograis will come back. Taylor gets beat by Ramirez

                • I am European and I say just make a rematch in USA. Winner fights Ramirez. These 3 guys are the best in division anyway.

                  • Round wise it was so tight, but I scored it:

                    1 - Taylor
                    2 - I couldn’t split at the time
                    3 - Prograis
                    4 - Prograis
                    5 - Prograis
                    6 - Taylor
                    7 - Taylor
                    8 - Taylor
                    9 - Taylor
                    10 - Taylor
                    11 - Prograis
                    12 - Prograis

So that’s 6 - 5 Taylor with the all important 2nd round probably being decisive. I wouldn’t have argued with a draw at all - in the rounds that Taylor won Prograis still landed some eye catching stuff.
