The problem is that judging is manifestly corrupt. We know that's part of the sport of boxing, but at some point, when the fans all know who's going to get a decision before the fight even takes place, they start to lose interest.

There's no way I would pay good money to watch a fight with Alvarez in it. I already know which way the judges will score it.

If the Powers That Be in the sport of boxing don't return to some minimal level of professional integrity, they will ruin the sport financially.

To give credit where it's due, a KO against Alvarez is highly unlikely. He's slick enough that he seldom gets hit cleanly, and even when he does, he's got a chin like Golovkin and is almost impossible to knock out. If Kovalev gets in some seriously heavy work to the body and Alvarez starts to lean on the ropes and absorb punishment, Kovalev MIGHT win by stoppage. It is probably his only chance of victory. If the fight goes the distance, I would bet a winning Powerball ticket that Canelo will get the decision, and so would every guy on this forum. And THAT is an increasingly big problem for the sport.
The only card that was given to Nelo was the one card on the Mayweather fight.

Negative. kovalev was holding on for dear life whenever S.O.G. got in that body attack. kovalev didn't want that work so it was the only thing he could do (hold).

I will agree there, I recall Kov holding when the body attack came. I also recall Dre doing a lot of holding, but that's every fight with him

So you are also going to deny that Kovalev KD Ward? =P lol

You are a freaking idiot if you think Ward actually won the first fight...

Ward won the first fight just as much as Canelo beat GGG the first time.
