Wow, ****, Tyson went from leading, to trailing, to tied with Wilder for 2nd, to leading again.

    This one's been a rollercoaster!

Only 52 votes, I know there's more Scene members who need to speak on this.

Proof that BoxingScene is really an underground dating site for gay black men?

People who voted for someone other than Tyson Fury.

It's not going to be settled until Wilder/Fury II winner fights Ruiz/Joshua II winner.

Hopefully all the ****** belts don't get picked off by mandatories before it all happens. I'd hate to see Pulev, Usyk, or Whyte get a vacant belt and have idiots call them a real champion without actually beating Wilder/Fury/Ruiz/Joshua.
        Forget boxrec, they’re a joke.

I do respect the other three but as fans we all know who the top two are...

The winner of the Fury-Wilder rematch (if it happens) is unquestionably the #1 guy at HW.

          No one is heavyweight champion.

Since that wasn’t an option, I picked Fury. He was the last heavyweight champion and he won 10 rounds against Wilder. He would probably do something similar against Ruiz.

I thought about it for a while actually, because plenty I wanted to vote vacant on, but, that just makes things more convoluted I reckon so I left the option out in all polls.

I didn't include very good men who will probably be champ soon either.

The only non-belt holder I included was Tyson and that's only because I figured he makes the poll more interesting. He probably shouldn't be here.

Edit- I didn't mean to say you're wrong, at all, I was just explaining my rationalization
Well explained, and I completely get it.

It's just that in this division, I think picking the champ is really just picking who you like most.

Only one has really earned their current title and that's Ruiz. He beat a top fighter - a guy who everybody had in their top 2 (most had him 1). But that's all he's done.

The other two might end up being the best, but they've been too happy to live off the one decent win each of them have. In Wilder's case it's not even a particularly noteworthy win (Ortiz). In Fury's case it's two, possibly three retirememts ago and he's currently a wrestler!

Who do I like most out of those three? Ruiz by miles he took the belt off a proper champion, he's a currently active fighter, and he's got a proper fight ahead of him to defend his title.

I would definitely consider the winner of the Wilder-Fury rematch the champion. Until then, no one.

Since Wilder is the only 1 of the 3 to win a belt and defend it is got to be him for now

I appreciate it. Input on both your opinion of the champions and the nature of the polls is greatly appreciated!

I reckon going forward I'll have to add vacant. The community keeps requesting it and who am I to say it shouldn't be an option?

I'll make a poll about it actually! That makes it community driven for sure. I will respect the community's wishes.
