Fury is on the list because everyone knows Wilder lost. Anyone that votes Wilder is a total tard.

Ruiz is my heavyweight champion since he has most of the titles and KOed the previously undefeated and top dog heavyweight AJ. Wilder has a case since he is unbeaten and a champ. Fury may have deserved the win over Wilder but he did not get it and to be champ you must get the official win so Fury is not a champion and he lost his lineal title by not defending it for over 3 years.

Needs to be a vacant option.

Wilder v Fury wasn't the top two fighting. Joshua losing to Ruiz doesn't change that.

Fury has one win and that was years ago; he's currently a wrestler who occasionally boxes unknowns.
Wilder hasn't come close to unifying or fighting anyone at the very top.
Joshua has the best set of wins, but is currently on a defeat.
Ruiz has one win in his career.

I could rank them, but I couldn't say who's the champion. No-one has earned that title.

            It's vacant.

Lewis vacated it when he retired, Wlad established a new lineage when he beat Chagaev, Fury beat Wlad for it and then retired multiple times.

To establish a new champion the winner of Joshua vs Ruiz II has to fight the winner of Wilder vs Fury II. Period.

The belts don't mean anything, Fury's claim to the throne doesn't mean anything because he retired.

The purpose is to have a consensus on who out of the champions is boxingscene's favorite. There can't be a vacancy.

I thought about it for a while actually, because plenty I wanted to vote vacant on, but, that just makes things more convoluted I reckon so I left the option out in all polls.

I didn't include very good men who will probably be champ soon either.

The only non-belt holder I included was Tyson and that's only because I figured he makes the poll more interesting. He probably shouldn't be here.

Edit- I didn't mean to say you're wrong, at all, I was just explaining my rationalization

Tyson Fury- Beat Wladimir Klitchko before Anthony Joshua. Stepped up to face Deontay Wilder when Joshua wouldn't and should have gotten the W.

Fury-Wilder 2 will decide it. They’re clearly the top 2.

I am inclined to agree with that assessment myself, but that's not a consensus. The four major outlets that rank the whole division disagree.

                      TBRB:
                      1. Andy Ruiz Jr
                      2. Tyson Fury
                      3. Deontay Wilder
                      4. Anthony Joshua
                      5. Dillian Whyte

                      The Ring:
                      1. Tyson Fury
                      2. Deontay Wilder
                      3. Andy Ruiz Jr
                      4. Anthony Joshua
                      5. Dillian Whyte

                      BoxRec:
                      1. Andy Ruiz Jr
                      2. Deontay Wilder
                      3. Anthony Joshua
                      4. Oleksandr Usyk
                      5. Tyson Fury

                      ESPN:
                      1. Deontay Wilder
                      2. Tyson Fury
                      3. Andy Ruiz Jr
                      4. Anthony Joshua
                      5. Dillian Whyte

It's not going to be settled until Wilder/Fury II winner fights Ruiz/Joshua II winner.

Hopefully all the ****** belts don't get picked off by mandatories before it all happens. I'd hate to see Pulev, Usyk, or Whyte get a vacant belt and have idiots call them a real champion without actually beating Wilder/Fury/Ruiz/Joshua.
