Basically, my lightweight ranking is:

And that's the order I have them in terms of who wins.

It all started with Interim, then Super, & then Regular. Oh that's the WBA; so confused. What's not confusing is the sanctioning fees they get from the Interim, Super, Franchise, Regular, Titlist, Lineal, Irregular, Temporary, Paper champs & the Intercontinental, TV, United States, & World champs: oh that's WWF. I mean WWE.... Interim & Emeritus is cool if it is used properly but it's not....

Lomachenko Named WBC "Franchise" Champ
GRATZ LOMA !!
he is a worthy recipient
it is natural that the best P4P fighters become the Franchise Champion
Spence and Usyk will become a Franchise Champion next
Golovkin wasn't quite good enough to become a Franchise Champion

I know there are too many belts as is, but I'd really like to see a small group of fans get together, pool some money for the physical belts, and then crown one legit champ in each weight class and give him a belt.
Never ask for sanctioning fees, simply have him be the champ until: A) he loses. B)he refuses to fight quality opponents (or specifically ducks the top fighter in his class). C) moves on in weight/retires/ or suffers an injury.
Then all the real fans would only recognize that person as champ and mock the rest. The rest of these sanctioning bodies would slowly die off as they refuse to perform their intended task anyways.
Pipe dream, absolutely....but we can all dream.

Will lose a lot of respect for Wilder if he agrees to become franchise champion, which to me really means vacating the world title and no longer being a world champion. Wilder has been building a historic reign that would be ruined.
