GGG should try and one up Canelo by challenging Beterbiev

Can you imagine if that were to actually happen, if GGG decides to just challenge Beterbiev out of nowhere? I think that would take some of the attention away from Canelo vs Kovalev. Kovalev is clearly past it but still dangerous for Canelo while Beterbiev is now just rising to the top.

Obviously it’s not going to happen, but if by some miracle GGG actually decides to do such a thing I think people should not be hating on him for that.

Maybe that could help give us Canelo vs GGG 3 where both Canelo and GGG take a massive beat down by Kovalev and Beterbiev to the point that they decide to move back down and will have to face each other again down the road.

Beterbiev would probably walk right through ggg at this point.

At this point? At what point would he not handle GGG?

GGG's team said anyone from 154 to 168.

          Not 175.

          Don't be mean to him.

Another idiotic post..first Lomachenko should fight Crawford, then Crawford mungia, and now Golovkin should fight beterbiev...

I gotta give it to Canelo he turns ordinary men into extraordinary charlatans.

I think you could make an argument that on his best day GGG could have done a little better than the Nail, or quite a bit better than Callum Johnson...who fought him close through 10 rounds and dropped him respectively.

Beterbiev apparently not having stamina issues would be a problem for any version of GGG though...that was always one of GGG's best qualities and I think would give him a shot vs some of these LHWs today who can gas out.

GGG would have to be landing the jab effectively and would either need to box and move very well...ie be younger...or land something, preferably with the jab, that could back up/slow down AB...possible I think for a prime GGG but AB seems like a long day for anyone at LHW...and against a smaller man that would be a tough fight for GGG, on his best day.

I wouldn't mind seeing GGG even now vs the Nail or Bivol Yarde Kov etc...but not sure if Beterbiev is a very smart career move lol...Bivol not a huge puncher and the other 3 can gas out.

Johnson dropped him early in the fight, then got stomped out and stopped in the 4th round.

GGG isn't competing with Beterbiev, not now, likely not ever. He's not overcoming that size difference. Like GGG is damn near stronger than every opponent, but that certainly won't be the case here and Beterbiev will just eat all his shots.

GGG hasn't even gone up to challenge the top SMWs, let alone the top LHWs...And Beterbiev had a strong amateur career of his own with what, like three wins over Usyk?
