    So as Skippers quote clearly meant,Canelo fighting Kovalev will bring just as many subscriptions to Dazn as ggg vs Nelo 3,if not more,& even if the cashcow loses it doesn't break them, meanwhile ggg was also involved in a barnburner(every g fight vs good opponents is a barnburner to his face because his defense sux) robbery vs Deryev for a vacant strap,which puts Dazn on the map while adding much more potential intriguing matchups down the line for everyone at middleweight.

    Contrary to what Idec believes,if ggg had faced Canelo instead of Kov that would be atrocious for business & would be the absolute ******est thing Dazn can have done businesswise because ggg would get kod & would still have a lucrative several fight contract nobody would pay to see unfold vs scrubs.

    The way it happened means Dazn has 1 extra fighter(gg) generating 97k subscriptions if he keeps fighting decent foes,& they also got lucky & created a star & new eastern euro boogieman in Derevyenchenko.(I predicted yrs ago that Derev would become the next hope for 97k ggg fans,it took long enough but now its happened)

    At the time I said Deryev already had the qualifications to become ggg 2.0 aka mr 97k because he went pro old af,had barely any fights & was E-Euro,so I told everyone once ggg got destroyed to the tumtum by Nelo that Derev would inherit 97k fans;
    I should buy a lotto)

By the time they fight, it will have been about 2 yrs since their last fight and will look as if Canelo was just waiting to age him.... Again.

        Where is that idiot poster "Shape Up" who insisted that Canelo was bound by contract to face GGG?

Most fighters would do the same to save face.
            Yeah and when they did finally allow a 3rd name it came with a stipulation that Canelo take $5,000,000 less to offset the cost of paying the other guy since now everyone wants over $10 million to fight him. Heck Jacobs rolled in another $4 million per fight after Canelo for his next two fights lol! They paying Jacobs at LEAST $24 million for only three fights.

              Paying GGG $100,000,000 for six fights and Jacobs at least $24,000,000 for three fights??? No WAY they can stay a float and keep this up? If AJ loses again they might as well start filing for bankruptcy...

                There is something seriously wrong of dazn has no real day as to whom their fighters fight after commuting to half a billion dollars to just two fighters.....and lets get something straight....no one in the USA gives a damn about the other sports on dazn....no ones signing up for darts, soccer, curling, or any of that other mess shown...the only subscribers are subscribing because of boxing and that is due to Canelo.

                  Didn't DAZN narrow down his options to Kovalev , Derv, or GGG?

                  On top of that, I highly doubt DAZN going into 2020 are going to be writing blank checks for Canelo to fight just anyone. Again, DAZN isn't HBO where they were promoting on a daily basis to the casual public who didn't really "follow" Boxing but would tune in on a Saturday Night and be promoted a PPV. This upcoming fight with Canelo and Kovalev has one of the weakest build ups of any "BIG" Canelo fight and it's one of his biggest moves to date, oh yea and they're competing with a UFC PPV that's clearly getting more of the mainstream coverage.

                  DAZN has their work cut out for them in 2020, especially with AJ loses again (which I also see happening).

                    Without NBA or NFL licenses in the US, DAZN has 0 chance. Other markets have those licenses where it makes sense to pay $20 a month. You get A LOT more than Bellator MMA, Cricket, and, Matchroom and Golden Boy Boxing, and Canelo twice a year which IMO isn't really worth the money.

                      GGG doesn’t equate to Canelo’s legacy for 10 more fights.

                      DAZN wants the Mexican holidays and there are plenty of fights for boxing to go. Canelo is a true commodity for DAZN even without the GGG Trilogy. As DAZN continues to grow, DAZN won’t feel insecure about Canelo fighting GGG because the money is coming in anyways.
