He got spanked twice. That's why he won't rematch him. He's smart enough to see things as they really are and arrogant enough to think it doesn't matter.
Canelo fought Golovkin twice already, so don't you feel just a little bit ridicolous when you claim that Canelo for some strange reason fears him? I'm not even claiming that Golovkin fears Canelo, cus he damn sure doesn't, he wants that money grab, even if it means losing again. Canelo made him cry last time, for ****'s sake, there's nothing left in this for Golovkin besides the money. Canelo, on the other hand, has no more need for Golovkin at all. He has moved on to greater things.Last edited by ShawnTaylor; 10-13-2019, 09:45 AM.

Not a great boxer technically but he had power. That was a fight that could have gone very wrong if Golovkin got caught. Golovkin outboxed him but the fight definately had the potential to be a disaster for Golovkin. The loss against Rubio by Lemieux was more down to poor conditioning by Lemieux. He ran out of gas after he dominated Rubio for the first half of the fight. Yeah Lemieux was a threat because of his power.

I'm not a Canelo fan in any way, but at least Canelo is taking some risks while Golovkin is going around getting gift decisions and whining for a third fight that he honestly doesn't deserve, he should be happy that he got away with a draw against Canelo in their first fight. There is just no need for a trilogy.
Taking risks my arse. Taking risks would have meant taking on someone like Demetrious Andrade, Jermall Charlo or Sergei Derevychenko at 160, David Benevidez, Caleb Plant, Callum Smith, Gilberto Ramirez, Billy Joe Saunders at 168, Beterbiev, Bivol or Gvozdyk at 175.
When Canelo moved up it was to weight drain Julio Cesar Chavez, fight Britians 5th best super middleweight for a paper belt and to challenge a guy who lost 3 of his last 7 with two of those losses coming by KO for a 175 pound title.
Canelo's hair isn't red from genetics its because of all the cherrys he picks. He's moving up from 160 when its been more stacked than its been in years. He's jumping over 168 when 168 is full of talented fighters and champions to fight the oldest and most vulnerable 175lb champion. Andrade and Charlo were champions at 154 when Canelo was a champion at 154 and then both became champions at 160 when Canelo was a champion at 160. And Canelo keeps moving up. Don't give me that "he's doing something great" bull***** because if GGG picked his opponents as carefully he'd be getting even more ****.Last edited by yankees7448; 10-13-2019, 11:59 AM.

Moving up in weight to fight weaker champions than the ones your current division isn't daring to be great. Putting a dress on a duck won't change it into something other than a duck.

Canelo moved up and fought Golovkin, which no one expected him to have the balls to do. He beat Golovkin twice and even made him cry and leave the ring post-fight, and then proceeded to move up in weight, something Golovkin never manned up to do. Canelo defeated Jacobs and will soon fight Saunders, the two guys that fans wanted Golovkin to fight for so long. Canelo beat Jacobs convincingly, while Golovkin had to settle with gift decisions against both Jacobs and Derevyachenko.
Everyone shamed Canelo, but he has in a few years done all of the things that everyone expected of Golovkin, which Golovkin never had the courage to do. Now Canelo is fighting Kovalev, at 175 lb. Golovkin should be ashamed of himself. At the end of the day, it turned out that Canelo was more of a man than Golovkin ever was.
