Rocky Marciano via Knock Out, between 6-8 rounds.

Hits Harder, has a better engine and is more physically durable.

Usyk is currently the most overrated fighter in boxing, I was never impressed with him at Cruiser-weight 'I can list many crusierweight that would of beaten him, fighters such as Carl Thompson, David Haye, Evander Holyfield all would of taken him out'.

And right now at heavyweight? I would give David Price & Derek Chisora at chance of beating him 'I truly do not rate the man, as highly as some folk within the boxing community'.

I get the impression a lot of current BoxingScene members have no real clue about Boxing, but just pick the boxer from the past because of other old coonts' nostalgia. "Everything was better back in the day..." etc. Rocky Marciano was involved in so much corruption, fixed fights, mob-bought fights, he wouldn't stand a chance against any top Heavyweight from the 60s on. Certainly not on a level playing field with no mob interference.
Baloney. All the fights I've seen him in his opponents were fighting to win not looking for a place to fall down.

Marciano could bore in on a fighter. His pouncing and angles would definitely present problems. But how many of his fights have you seen in their entirety?

Again, we already discussed this. So if you want to see what finer minds have said, go read that thread.

I am not condfident picking either man. But a lot of people overate Marciano's victories, or make him sound overly brutish and crude.

I pick Dempsey and Tunney to beat them both. And both to beat Holyfield. But Holyfield is probably too refined and resilient for Dempsey.
Dempsey was never accused of being on steroids. I really enjoyed watching Holyfield fight and admired him but there is strong circumstantial evidence he was on something.

Do some research outside of YouTube and BoxRec.

That a pretty weak response. Point me to something that corraborates your innuendo that his fights were fixed. He was the son of Italian immigrant's growing up in an area rife with Mafia. It was part of life in those days. Yeah he knew and associated with Mafia figures but show me proof he had his fights fixed. You can't it's all based on hearsay and guilt by association.

That's a pretty weak response. Don't use boxrec or YouTube and I will agree with you. Sorry if you are making an allegation like that you need to provide some proof. He grew up in an area where the Italian Mafia was prevalent. Not knowing someone connected was unlikely. Mobsters liked hanging around with celebrities it gave them some legitimacy or so they thought. Show me something that proves his fights were fixed. Nat Fleisher checked into his record and as far as he was concerned it was legitimate.

I actually think he gotthe nod against LaStarza because he wasn't one of their guys. It could just be that he was the aggressor. In those days, it was more like K1 or Japanese MMA. Aggression and guts often won the day.

But yeah, LaStarza was almost certainly mob'ed up. And that was a two-edged sword.

None of Marciano's championship wins were mob-won. And Moore and Walcott were at their best. But none were anywhere as good as Usyk. Even Gasiev was better.

Before you posted, I was on the fence. Now, based on your post, I am firmly in Usyk's camp.

I can think of a better endorsement for Usyk than your non-sense post.

Marciano and Basilio weren't mob products. I think that helped them more than it hurt them.

Usually, mob fighters were paid to lose. And being mob-backed automatically made you a target of non-mob associated elements of the Boxing world.

Legs Diamond made Carnera invincible. And it actually cost him money, apparently.
