I like AJ as an entity. I still don’t think he’s an amazing talent against history, but he’s entertaining. I always want the best man on the night to win. I have no problem with fights in Saudi if it’s negotiated. But rematch clauses are frustrating in of itself. I don’t know if Ruiz got any extra money to fight in Saudi? But team AJ for sure will. If that’s the case AJ will get all that extra money while Ruiz gets all the inconveniences and no reward. I just hope Ruiz got a piece or the sport looks worse for it.
Why’s there no outcry about Tyson Fury fighting in Saudi Arabia?

What we're seeing is Bob's arrogance at play.I find Tyson's stint at Top rank, embarassing. They're so desperate.
First they tried to push him as the great white hope of white america, with that really poorly done entrance wearing the american attire. They hyped the crap out of him that fight vs tom schwarz. The commentary was so rehearsed.
That failed to gain traction, then they adopted the mexican angle..with the commentator kissing mexican backside like 'DA PLIGHT OF DA MEXICAN PPL' (that they dont have canelo fighting on that day0 and overselling Tyson as this guy who really cared about mexicans and that he came to save them from their plight of not having a mexican fight on the day.
Even had tyson talking spanish.
When that failed, shove him on wwe...get some saudi arabian attention so they can then get TYson a big money boxing fight there like aj.
I like Tyson Fury, but the way they're trying to promote him seems forced and not natural. They're making Tyson into something he's not.
He truly believes he can take anyone and make them a superstar. Then they've realised that Fury's boxing style won't get him there. He's a boring fighter (somehow that's a bit of a shock to many, particularly in the US).
So we end up with this stuff. Pandering to the absolute lowest common denominator. Hyped up easy fights, corny entrances, 'lineal title' stuff, now WWE.
If I was American I'd be offended that Bob thinks the population is dumb enough to fall for this. But, then again, if I was American I might be dumb enough to fall for it.Comment

bob makes me laugh. Eddie won the purse bid for Hooker vs Ramirez by overpaying. So Bob was angry and dissed Eddie for paying ridiculous money ie that he doesnt know what he's doing and is paying too much. Yet, what it achieved was it means in future Ramirez will want more money to fight esp now as the unified champion. What we're seeing is Bob's arrogance at play.

Plus, he paid Amir Khan $5m for Crawford, actually thinking people still think Amir Khan is a challenge...that fight got 150k ppv buys. I think Crawford got $5.7m.
Meanwhile Al haymon didnt pay Spence and porter $5m between them for a far bigger better fight. He's had to overpay to get Crawford a name. He's going to have to overpay Crawford all the time.
He publicly said dazn should sack Eddie and give it to Oscar. Next day Oscar says Crawford isnt getting any fights at top rank.
dissed the Saudi deal for aj vs ruiz, then this happens.
He fixed Pacquaio's loss to Horn, in the process lost Pacquaio.
All he had to fking do was set up Crawford vs Pacquaio.
How on earth has he got ESPN's backing i don't know.
Tyson doesnt give a ****, he's getting his money.Comment

Support some terrorism, participate in a little human trafficking, a little slavery and everyone wants to make a big deal. Seriously, people are such reactionaries.
It isn’t like they would murder, torture or imprison someone for expressing their opinion or not having the right religion.Comment

Boxing is not a "woulda, coulda shoulda" sport. It's a sport where you have to fight to actually know who will win. wilder has all of his fans backing his ducking by saying that he "would" beat someone. That's a cop out. FIGHT the guy to prove it. Then talk the smack. Wilder hasn't fought most of the top 20 and he never beat guys like Haye, Klitschko and others either. No more talk, fight or be labeled a chump and a fraud.Wilder would ruin Whyte..easily. Whyte likes to trade and he has no defence. Whyte would be down early and not get up.
If Wilder was smart he would have dismantled Whyte 2 years ago rather than just get obsessed with the matchroom connection and avoid the fight just to not give eddie hearn a chance.Comment
