Why? He would just cut less weight. His fight night weight is probably around 175.

Now he would be around 180-185 max.

Two different kinds of muscle. Evander was juiced to the gills and his muscle was built for pure power output. The man was built like a brick ****house. Canelos muscles would be the same as a bodybuilders muscles, meaning just for show. Ask a body builder to do any serious cardio and you'll see them on the floor gasping for air. Canelo putting on muscle by increasing his reps will do nothing for his fight against kova, except deplete his gas tank, and slow him down.

Isn’t his walking around weight about 180 so actually, is will still need to cut some weight for the scales but not as dramatic as his previous fights.

You think doing weights to bulk up will be beneficial for Canelo.
I really can't see him moving back down to 160 if he gets to 175 primed for Kovalev.
It doesn't make sense the way he's jumping up and down in weight.
I suppose we will see the affect it has on him come fight time.

              ... well... you see...

That doesn't make any sense. In order for Canelo to ACCLIMATE to 175, ANY Middleweight at 160, HAS TO gain muscle to fight the NATURALLY bigger guys at 175. Canelo said he's doing LIGHT weight lifting. We won't look like a Pascal or a Yarde. He just needs to gain about 5lbs more than what he did at the Fielding weigh in.

5lbs is a lot for a fighter like Canelo, but it's what's needed, and the calibration is fine.

You guys still assume that Canelo will be HUGE at 175 and DRAIN at the weigh ins. lol. Not at all. In the Chavez Jr. and Fielding weigh ins he didn't look DRAINED at all opposed to the way Fielding looked. This PROVES Canelo is not as big as the fake narrative has been against him for years. Fielding's walk around weight is like 205lbs EASILY! This is nothing like what RJJ did

After accliminating to 175 for the Kovalev fight how can he drop back down to 160 for a middleweight fight without being drained?
Your right 5lbs is huge when gaining and taking of muscle.
Why is it that he couldn't make 160 to fight GGG years ago when he was a fully grown man but now can jump from 160-175?
Im just trying to get my head around it.

... I guess Canelo will fight at 168 next... then, maybe, go down at 160 again...

I'm picking Kovalev to win this fight as is and this here would only help Kovalev some more.
