I see the argument for the promoter since its his event, but then again how much security should one be required to have at a weigh in before its not their fault if something bad happens?
All in all I think it was just a perfect storm of ****** & idk how much anyone else is responsible for this besides the guy who did it & I fully expect he'll be getting "sanctioned" by our legal system.Comment

This is not a random guy attacking a random guy.
This is the brother of a fighter violently attacking the trainer of the opposing fighter leaving him in hospital fighting for his life.
Shields (and the promoter) is responsible for her team.
He was apart of her entourage, she is responsible for him.
Imagine if one of Tyson goons would have jumped Emmanuel Steward putting him in hospital when he fought Lennox
You think Tyson should not be sanctioned by the commission for it?Comment

The attack is related, but the blame doesn't go to Shields. There's not many innocent parties here. Shields was talking ****, but the normal amount of **** a fighter would make before a fight.
Shields's sister was talking **** and Bashir was talking **** back and threatening to put hands on her. Then allegedly the brother sucker punches him from behind. The only person who needs punishment is the brother. I might ban the sister from being at any events for a rematch also.Comment

What a piece of **** Shields and her camp are! Disgrace to boxing! But that's Michigan the ****hole it isComment

But there's usually other fights on the cards that female boxers appear on. I would definitely go if I lived in the area and was given free tickets. Just don't watch the women fight!Comment

You can seek these costs from the ******* who attacked Bashir. You can even sue the event organizers for not providing security. I'd be surprised if your claim succeeds, but that's what you can spend your money on. Nobody would penalize Clarissa or the team for this as this isn't really their responsibilty in legal terms. But she lost the purse and somewhat tarnished her reputation. In my eyes at least.Last edited by alexjust; 10-10-2019, 12:39 AM.Comment
