He came into the Tszyu fight at 150 which was his PRIME performance. It was because he had a larger training camp because it was his biggest fight. Every other fight he usually gains like 15 lbs because his training camps are shorter because he doesnt take boxing as serious as he should b/c he likes to chill and piss with the 'lads'. But yeah, he was makin 140 for years and he's fine at it. I think you only think he's small because he's 5'6'' where all the other welters like Cotto/Gatti are 5'8''.

I personally don't think he put himself in the corner if he gets the Baldomir fight. If he doesn't get it and Mayweather does, he's basically screwed. He'll probably end up fighting Urkal or some mandatory and he won't fight the top dogs because they are all bigger then him adn they will beat him. He will probably move down to 140 if he doesn't get Baldomir, IMO.

I think bauldy would be really tough for him hatton is quicker and has barely a bigger punch at 147 but gatti is a harder pucher than hatton so I do not think he can hurt baldy to much but he can take him off his game with constant pressure and if he can avoid getting hit some what. if he cannot avoid punishemnt he is in big trouble.

Hatton could fight at 147 but there's alot of hard fights there for him. Including Baldy. People might think that Baldy is a joke but Baldy could beat Hatton. And it's true.

I think Hatton would either A) swarm and hold and target Baldomir's body or B) Outbox Baldomir like he did with Tackie/Phillips. I am confident he can do both because Hatton's a class act.

At 5'5 he is just too damn small... ok maybe he's close to 5'6 but that is a very short welterweight.
            good post!

but he owes Callozo a rematch

Can he beat baldy. somewhat similar style agienst a bigger stronger guy with a good chin Ah. Mayweather no. Marg better chance agienst baldy. Not to mention he needs to fight Collazo again they have unfinished buisness. Hattons tenacity heart and quick short punches will keep him competative but against bigger guys? Where exactly does he think he can go at welter?

Hatton himself already gave us a clue. The mere fact that he is contemplating to go back down to 140 means he's not that comfortable at that weight.

Of course he can hang around with the legitimate welters but he'll just be relegated to a regular fighter status because he'll lose all the advantages that he has at 140, including power.

He'll do better next time, as long as its not against another southpaw!

What do you mean never hinted? That article was posted here in this forum just a day after he defeated Colazo.
