It was definitely not an easy fight to judge, but on a second viewing, I saw it as clearer for GGG.

As usual you add nothing to a discussion. If you didnt think he won how about you post your scorecard? HUH?

When you cant and you go quiet I'll just assume you went back to sucking Canelos ****. It's what you do best.

SD was very active but many of his punches were missing or hitting gloves and elbows, something I did not realise when watching it live. It was a very worthy performance by SD, but he did not win the fight.

        Here's my card:

        Rd 1: GGG 10-8
        Rd 2: GGG 20-17
        Rd 3: SD 27-29
        Rd 4: SD 37-38
        Rd 5: SD 47-47
        Rd 6: SD 57-56
        Rd 7: GGG 66-66
        Rd 8: GGG 76-75
        Rd 9: GGG 86-84
        Rd 10: SD 94-95
        Rd 11: GGG 105-103
        Rd 12: GGG 115-112

My final score is 115-112 for GGG.
This fight wasn't a robbery. However, I did have SD winning a close decision. The way I scored it:

        Round 1: 10-8 GGG
        Round 2: 10-9 GGG
        Round 3: 9-10 SD
        Round 4: 9-10 SD
        Round 5: 9-10 SD
        Round 6: 10-9 GGG
        Round 7: 9-10 SD
        Round 8: 10-9 GGG
        Round 9: 9-10 SD
        Round 10: 9-10 SD
        Round 11: 10-9 GGG
        Round 12: 9-10 SD

Overall score: 114-113 for Sergey Derevyanchenko

I'm a big fan of GGG, he's one of the only fighters I'd travel to see because he usually delivers a great fight.

That said, I had him down 6-4 going into the 11th round. He won the 11th and 12th on my card to pull out a 1 point win because of the 1st round knockdown. I could see someone having 7-5 either way honestly. It was far from a robbery in any case but GGG looked terrible in alot of spots in that fight and I even turned to my wife st one point and said I think he's gonna get knocked out when he took a few body shots and started retreating.

He may have gotten old overnight or he may have been sick or Derevyanchenko just maybe a top level talent liked he showed who knows.

I think Canelo would be ****** to not take the 3rd fight based on what we saw Saturday. He's the fresher of the 2 and already proved he can hang through 24 rounds of the 2 fights.

Surprising you gave 6 to GGG but 9 and 12 to SD. It was hard to judge and some were very close. I just noticed that SD missed a lot more punches than I first thought when watching it the 2nd time.

I felt as though SD started off good in the 6th but GGG let his hands go a bit and caught him with some eye popping shots to take it for me

Round 9 I felt that SD had control of the round and was backing up GGG with his work rate. Golovkin seemed a bit hesitant to me other than in the beginning when he landed a big shot

Round 12 I thought was full of action but SD just had more pop and energy with a strong body attack. G was gassed

What did you score it the first time.

I think this is a fight that coulda went either way. It was no robbery doe. Mfers too quick to call fights robberies these days. If its close, like this fight was, its a more reasonable take to say it coulda gone either way & it been a fair decision. When a fight has as many close rounds as this one its easier to come to this conclusion even if some folks dont enjoy thinking of scoring like this.

I had it 115-112 fr derev. triple cheat was inactive. derev was punching him all over the ring. triple flop kept missing his punches and was tired from rd 3. Lying abt being ill is pretty pathetic. these fanbums cant accept their beloved god is old as **** and ready to b put down. Time fr a tomato can to feed his fangirls. expect hus mandatory next smereta. a complete nobody but his fangirls will say “but he has to” knowg that a unification fight wt andrade or charlo trumps that. or an extension wld allow a derev2 fight. and that is why everyone hare triple old fans

Not a bad card. I had it 6 rounds to 6. The knockdown was the deciding factor on my card. 114-113 Gennady Golovkin.

Several guys watched the fight again. Suggestion: Watch it a third time, and this time look at the effectiveness of GGG's guard. Lots of D'chenko's activity was actually blocked. The fight was close by all accounts, but the real tale was told by comparing the two faces after it was over. GGG looked like he'd been in a serious fight. Dereyanchenko looked like he'd be run over by a truck.

That said, Banks is right. He needed more punch output and movement. Don't know if a fighter's style can change that much after hundreds of successful bouts, though.
