Exactly how I scored it and had Golovkin having to win 11 and 12 for the 6-6 win by the Kock down in round 1.

People crying robbery are idiots, it was a good hard fight.

I think it was by far Golovkins toughest fight in his career, Canelo didn't give him half the trouble this kid did. Not sure if he just got old overnight, he was really sick, or Derevyanchenko was just that good on saturday but it made for a hell of a fight!!

round 12: SD is rushing into the inside ward style flurrying bodyshots and then clinching. Golovkin is landing some big left hooks on SD who is looking very ragged, hes still fighting back and lands a nice right hook in the final 30 seconds, Golovkin finishes with a big uppercut. good round for golovkin.

6-6 even. Golovkin wins with the KD. very good fight but not the gatti /ward war that lou dibella was describing.

I can see anything from golovkin by 1-4 rnds to a draw to SD by 1-2 rnds depending on how many of the swingrounds you give him.

the robbery talk is ridiculous though, SD had 3 clear rounds, the 3rd, the 5th and the 10th. you then have to give him all the swingrounds to even make an argument he won.

You think there will be a rematch? i think Golovkin fights 1-2 more times and then retires, Canelo being one of those fights obviously.

I think ggg would be up for a rematch but it all goes down to his schedule. He may fight twice at most next year and if it's not canelo then it should be sd.

But like I said, he is slowly rusting and should be thinking of retirement.

I scored it the same way round by round (for 116-114) and like you say the rounds were close (I counted 9 close rounds).
SD fought a great fight, GGG wasn't himself but still did enough to win a close one.

Either way I think sd stock rises. I hope he gets another title shot.
