3-4 million worldwide, not just in states. And not everyone pays $20 dollars a month. Not even sure what subscribers pay in Europe or Japan.

But they wanted to spend big to break into the market. They succeeded in getting the biggest cash cow in boxing. Some of their other investments haven't worked out, but looks like they will change some of their methods going forward.

GGG may be pissed he can't get the Canelo fight as he wanted, but he's not going to be TOO upset with him making 15M to fight someone like Derevyanchenko where the actual ticket sales look pretty damn bare.
What is unbelievable about it? GGG has a 100 million dollar deal for 6 fights so he makes that much or more every fight. Hell, Canelo gets an average of 35 million per fight for 9 fights I think. Canelo isn't a better fighter than these two but only more popular.

Canelo vs G III will never happen now. After 15 mill for fighting Derevyanchenko, Golovkin will think he deserves about 50 mill for Canelo. Lol.

Around $33m based on his deal😂😂

I have no problem with fighters earning good money due to DAZN’s ******ity.

I do worry for DAZN long term though, will they ever recoup that kind of money making fights like Canelo-Fielding and GGG-Rolls?

So he isn't making more money because Canelo's last offer was 5.5M

ESPN’s sources claim that the purse money was never settled, with Golden Boy’s last offer being $5.5M while Derevyanchenko’s side was looking for $7M.

Nah, Canelo only got around 15M for the Fielding. The first fight of his deal started with Jacobs.

I mean remember the PBC was also offering GGG 8 figures a fight, so DAZN pretty much had to give him what he got. He, along with his team did some great negotiating.

One of DAZN's exec already came out and said they won't be spending like this going forward and they just had to spend a bunch to get in the game. The entire signing of GGG is traced to the trilogy with Canelo happening. If they get that fight, then they will be fine with the deal as that is still a HUGE fight that will attract a good amount of subscribers. If that fight doesn't happen? Then obviously it's going to end up looking pretty bad.

Therefore, it’s a duck. He surrendered a title as opposed to offering SD fair market value.
