SD clearly deserves more money to fight Canelo than to fight GGG. It’s common sense.
Why did Álvarez avoid a purse bid? Because SD clearly would have made way more than what was offered.
Therefore, it’s a duck. He surrendered a title as opposed to offering SD fair market value.

How much did they pay for Canelo vs Felding? Not to get into a Canelo vs Golovkin debate, I’m just saying let em both get their money man. Dazn seems able to take it on the chinComment

Technically its not. Its $11.5M. With Derevyanchenko having $1.2M in the air for some reason so maybe he gets it or maybe he doesnt idfk what that lives or dies on if anything.
The other $7.5M isnt going to GGG. GGG only sees that money at some future date if DAZN is successful or sells itself off. Wonder how much equity $7.5M gets GGG. Could end up being a genius move by GGG or like throwing his money into the wind.
They need to make an equity deal with Canelo. That would save them massive money & likely get Canelo making better moves towards acquiring fans of DAZN. Guess his sub goals could already cover this somewhat doe.Comment

Golovkin killed HBO , now he's trying to kill DAZN.
How in the world does a guy like Dereyevchencko get $5 million when he's never even won a world title , but Orlando Salido won 3 belt's in 2 weight classes & several fight of the year awards with a better resume then Golovkin & Dereyevchencko combined and him getting $1 million was considered "ridiculous" & "pricing himself out" , a tactic used by Bob Arum & Lomachencko to duck him.
The only explanation is these are the racist politics in boxing used against Mexican Fighter's.

I think Canelo only got 15M for the Fielding fight so it wasn't nearly as much as his 10 fight 360M deal that started against Jacobs.
Yes, let them get paid. Canelo is actually undervalued all things considered on DAZN since he has brought in majority of the subscribers. DAZN will likely have lost a whole a lot of money with the GGG deal, but they were banking on the trilogy all along...And they still may get it next year.Comment

You're assuming each subscriber pays $20 a month, which they don't. But even if we used the estimated 3 million subscribers at $150 a year then that's $37.5 million per month.
And here they are spending 20 million for one fight.
I did the math on that.Comment
