I mean Hearn said there could be problems if they don't get the trilogy fight made next. I wonder what exactly he means there?

But if no Canelo, there are plenty of viable options for Golovkin at 160 and 168.

“We thought when Golovkin signed to DAZN that the third [Canelo] fight would happen and it would be easier in the negotiations because there’s no pay-per-view split and percentages. With DAZN you don’t have that. We thought it’d be pretty smooth.” Loeffler

Told heads this. The $100 mil is by all inclusive performance metrics. It just means that GGG has to hit a certain standard every fight to get the premium. It doesn’t mean GGG gets a guaranteed $100mil. It’s just means the threshold that DAZN is guaranteed to give GGG to play the part.

In other words, Loeffler could’ve easily stipulated in the contracts, which I’m more than sure he did, “IF we fight Canelo Alvarez (on the Mexican dates) - because of PPV history - GGG’s minimum guarantee is $40million.” This could easily have been stipulated. DAZN doesn’t care because that’s the most lucrative fight for them in having GGG. That’s why Loeffler pushed for it.

      GGG - Rolls 15 mil
      GGG - Alvarez 40mil

That’s already 55 million to GGG and Loeffler’s scheme.

Means the 4 remaining fights are 11.5mil and GGG can fight whomever.

Canelo’s people protected him from this. Same type of schemes, people, whom helped out Haymon for the Whyte Rivas mess. People talk

I'm not sure what Canelo proves by fighting a past his prime Kovalev whose lost - I think 2 out of his last 5 fights off the top of my head and both were stoppages - not even debatable decisions?
This dope ranked Rolls higher than kovalov because ROLLS was undefeated and Kov lost 3 times. LMFAO!

"Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix reported Thursday morning that negotiations for their third fight have stalled largely due to Golovkin’s reluctance to face Alvarez in Las Vegas for a third time. The former middleweight champion made it clear in the aftermath of his fourth-round knockout of Steve Rolls on June 8 that he wants their third fight to take place elsewhere.

According to Mannix, also a commentator for DAZN, promoter Oscar De La Hoya will start looking at other opponents for Alvarez’s next fight if they can’t come to a resolution by Friday."

I can only imagine his list of demands if he claims the belt vs Chenko as he's expected to.

You realize Golo gave Saul the rematch, right? AND, Golo will not get any money from Saul for a trilogy fight. WTF are you talking about?

People need to figure out how DAZN will provide GGG his $100 (threshold cap) if no Canelo.

                  GGG Rolls 15mil
                  GGG Devry 20mil
                  GGG vs 3, 16 mil
                  GGG vs 4, 16 mil
                  GGG vs 5, 16 mil
                  GGG vs 6, 16 mil

Canelo is equalled the amount of 3 fights total. That’s how we know Loeffler stipulated in the contract a massive guarantee for GGG from the $100mil.

                  The math is there.

Other than Golovkin there were few fighters that DAZN would approve as an opponent for Canelo. They haven't made up in subscriptions the salary they have paid Canelo and his opponents up to this point so they are very choosey who he fights. The problem is compounded because Canelo refused to rematch Golovkin. They were foolish to pay Canelo that kind of money and without a clause that he has to fight specific guys. They may break even on it but it's going to take a very long time. Their only hope for a reasonable return on investment is to sign other solid fighters at lower rates and put on competitive fights that will draw subs.
