including that last round a 10-9. From the KD in the 4th Akhmedov dominated the fight. Mario had fans in the fight thread who were legit shocked at the decision. That 12th round KD should have made it a draw at the very worst. I have no idea how any of the judges gave Barrios any of rounds 5-11
agree with this, he won the 12 even after being knocked down. and is not like he just took over after the 4th round, he beat the crap outta barrios really bad.

I agree with you on everything except for 2 point rd thing. As long as I have been watching boxing no matter who is winning the rd, if someone scores a knockdown it has always been a 10-8 rd.

Remember how that fight was looking going into round 12? Picture this:

Barrios would have won a split decision even if Badyr won the 12th round.

        Even more crazy:

On one of those scorecards, Barrios would have won even IF it was Badyr that scored the 12th round knockdown and won a 10-8 round in the 12th.

You can maybe have the fight 114-113 Barrios if you give him every round you can possibly give him, but there is a serious problem here.

I like Barrios and I have to be honest with myself and the forum, he lost that fight.

One of the judges would have given the fight to Barrios even with no knockdowns. They should never judge boxing again.

Seems like these guys forgot that Akhmedov was down twice.
And I don't think there's a rule that makes judges take into account any injures a boxer takes from his opponent.

I've seen in the past a number of years ago where a 10-9 round was scored for a guy who scored the knockdown. If a guy is beating the *** out of a guy for almost 3 minutes and then has a flash knockdown or a regular knockdown against him, they need rules to allow for 10-10 and 10-9 rounds for such.

Nobody is forgetting it at all.

Post your card. I know my wife sat down with me at the start of the fifth round, and when they announced the winner she was floored. I watched the whole thing, and I have no clue what rounds you can give Barrios after the 4th. Even if you made the 12th round a 10-8 it would be a draw.

If you have Barrios the first four rounds, you can come up with a draw for him. That is giving him a 10-8 round 12. Not saying that is right, but possible.

But to have him winning ANY MORE than five rounds is seriously pushing it. At best he got a draw. The KDs clearly saved him, but he took a vicious beating from the 4th or 5th round on.
