really? if someone gets a flash KD in a round they're clearly winning, it's typically scored 10-9. Just like if someone completely dominates a round but doesn't get a KD, it will still be a 10-8

tried to find a couple examples. I know off the top of my head Pacquao/Cotto and I found an article.

The rule is if someone gets dropped he automatically loses 2 points.

yes, and then if you win the round you gain a point. Ergo, if you win a round in which you get knocked down, you lose the round 10-9

You don't gain points, you keep them both fighters start with 10 points the loser of the round loses a point unless he gets dropped then he automatically (not up to discretion) loses 2 points. The winner keeps the 10 points.

You're wrong, but that's fine. Not worth my time arguing with you.

I am right, you can't "earn points back" in boxing. You don't know how the scoring system works.

Post your card. I know my wife sat down with me at the start of the fifth round, and when they announced the winner she was floored. I watched the whole thing, and I have no clue what rounds you can give Barrios after the 4th. Even if you made the 12th round a 10-8 it would be a draw.
To post my card I would have to watch the fight again. I don't have time to do it. But let's base on what you have said. Rounds 1 to 4 could be certainly given to Barrios. It is 5 points to him because of a knockdown. Plus he floored his foe in the 12. It's plus 2. Totally 7 points in 5 rounds.
Presuming that Akhmedov won the other 7 rounds it is a draw. Right?
If it is a draw I would not mind if judges gave a nod to either of two. So, if they decided that Barrios won, so be it. I see no problem in Barrios winning the fight.

Another issue is actual judges' scorecards. Any judge who would think it was a shutout for Barrios is wrong. Such judges should be banned to prevent inadequate decisions in the future. But again, there is no problem in Barrios winning that fight.
