Joseph Parker bitten by a spider!

Seems like Joseph Parker was bitten by a poisonous spider while training for Chisora. Joe should chose his sparring partners more carefully in future!

Seriously though, this isn't as crazy as it might seem. There are a lot of venomous creepy crawlies down under.

Yeah was reading this earlier, at least we now know that the Pro/Tay fight is the headliner. Who are they going to get for War in time for the 26 of October?

Too bad. This was a very winnable fight for Parker. A good fight to get a win over a solid fighter and bounce back.

The poisenous spiders are in OZ not NZ, and JP doesnt even train in NZ anyways, he trains in Vegas..

either way im ****ing pissed this is off, was pumped for that card, was one of the best cards of the year and now its just standard.

There are poisonous spider in NZ, though not as many as in OZ. And according to the report, Parker could have been bitten before he left NZ.

Parker's manager David Higgins earlier told the Herald that trainer Kevin Barry had identified a "sore" in the fighter's thigh as soon as he got into camp, and thought it looked like a spider bite.

Parker vs Chisora was a good match-up, but not PPV worthy. Prograis vs Taylor is definitely worth paying for though.
