So it was a duck then? They had the opportunity to fight Joshua, fight for undisputed and make more money than hes ever going to see in the rest of his career combined. I have no problem with what you say, i dont believe for 1 second Wilder is scared of Joshua, his decisions have been career based. But the decision was made to walk away from fighting Anthony Joshua. Its a duck. If they had turned down the DAZN offer and then come back with a counter offer i wouldnt call it a duck at all but thats not what happened. They turned it all down and walked away talking about all the PBC fighters they can keep busy with for the next 2 years. Is that not the epitome of a duck?

I would agree except you don't know where wilder is financially. I understand we would take that money in a heartbeat but not every athlete takes every offer, especially if they think they can do better. Frankly, reminds me a lot of Floyd not taking Arum's money, buying out his TR deal for $750k. Everyone said it was a bad deal. Uhh, nope.
At some point you guys need to stop getting mad when Haymon and his fighters protect their financial futures. This is their job. They have every right to make deals and guide their careers in the best interest for them. You guys get outraged at Haymon guys but say nothing when other guys do the same thing.
No, fans didn't get what they wanted. Instead Wilder fought Fury and we got a tremendous fight with drama until the end that all fans enjoyed. Then we got a generational upset in Ruiz over AJ that fans enjoyed. We can still get a unified champ but no, we will not get 2 undefeated HWT's vying for the unified, lineal title.
Maybe instead of focusing on the negative, you should try enjoying what you did get because it was pretty good.
And that was guaranteed money. He needs to make about $80million from his next fight just to be where he would have been, financially, 3 fights on from the DAZN offer, if he'd accepted it.
Haymon put his own interest before the interest of his fighter, and of the sport as a whole. Deflecting to Wilder/Fury and AJ/Ruiz doesn't alter that.Comment

No he decided not to help DAZN boost sales. Period. That seems to bother people and I don't know why. Haymon is trying to beat DAZN. He doesn't believe that model is the future. He is entitled to try and compete against DAZN and further, he is allowed to operate in a way where he wins that competition and is the last company standing.
Yes, Wilder stayed loyal to Haymon and decided to fight in house fighters to help build PBC and to fight Fury, the next best HWT, because it made PBC money. Then Haymon sent over Ruiz because he figured it wouldn't help boost DAZN sales because Ruiz had no name value.
Lets keep it 100- ever since HBO kicked Haymon off there is a faction that wanted him to just die and go away. Instead he took his guys and built something and is now competing against everyone and is trying to win.Comment

Wilder could have made $100million for 3 fights, one of which he was committed to anyway, and the other 2 were fights he claimed to want more than anything else.

I'm not deflecting to anything. Haymon did what he felt was best for PBC. Wilder stayed loyal to PBC. Why that bothers you is crazy. You had no issue when AJ does it, so you should have no issue when Wilder does it.Comment

You keep posting that. You don't have to agree with the decision he made. Whining about it will not change it. Criticizing it will not change it. Wilder chose to stay loyal to a man and a company that has helped him earn millions. If he took a loss, that is his choice. Money isn't everything to everybody.

Let that sink in for a minute or 2 before you dig into the refuse bin for snippets of rancid garbage about $50million offers posted on twitter and contracts without dates and a retired old man thinking aloud with a fishing rod in his hand.Comment

Wilder stayed loyal to a man - Espinoza - and a network who just rejected his next fight because it didn't make financial sense for them.

You guys are just upset that Haymon competes against DAZN. A little competition shouldn't bother you.Comment

Right now Wilder walked away from that DAZN offer and the PBC fans on here and the LDBC still push that narrative that the offer was bollocks and Joshua is ducking Wilder.
Your point about what Bazza Hearn said is a perfect example. I know EXACTLY what Barry said yet the haters were making like that was an actual plan that Team AJ and Eddie were adhering to. So many LDBC videos that were time stamped to miss out some real key words by Barry which made it very clear that Eddie and AJ were looking to do everything as quick as possible. Real twisting and abusing the words Barry actually said and they all made out about how disgusted they were that chicken AJ was ducking Wilder with some 2 year plan. And Barry didnt even catch many fish.
But shortly after that Wilder turned down 100 or 120 million and the AJ fights. Turned round and said they were looking to fill their calendar with PBC fighters and were thinking 2021 for Joshua (A 2 YEAR PLAN) and according to the same set of Wilder fans that were so disgusted at Joshua having a plan (even though it was something they made up in the 1st place) it was a good thing for Wilder to do and Joshua was still ducking.Comment

Part of a quote before the Breazeale fight so hes done neither yet.
You're defending a pack of lies daily on here, AJ never declined any fight certainly didn't chase any ones fans didn't want to see ever or try and make negotiations possible, team wilder has sabotaged the fights and his fan base cult defend that..Last edited by REDEEMER; 10-03-2019, 11:43 AM.Comment

AJ and Hearn lied about wilder being next when Hearn launched dazn. They didn't want a US PPV to open dazn. The plan all along was Povetkin. That is a fact. As fro the $50 mil offer, when have I been a poster that mentions that often?
Haymon isn't letting Wilder fight on DAZN because he is trying to compete against dazn.Comment
