Agree ppl will be shocked at how easily Benavidez runs through the smw division.

He has a great variety of punches when he can set his feet, has decent timing also. Not a concussive puncher, but has respectable power.

His footwork looked slow against dirrell. Didnt cut off the ring well and wasnt closing range quick enough. I'm also not a fan of relying on a basic high guard defense. That doesn't work against elite level guys.

However, he is still pretty difficult to beat. You have to move constantly, change angles or somehow shut down his offense.

Time will tell, i know benavidez has called out plant but dont think hes mentioned smith yet. Which is odd because hes regarded as the top fighter in the division. ( unless he has and ive missed it somehow)
