I first saw this guy in highlight packets and thought he was a lanky, slow plodder with a bit of pop.

I saw him in a full fight for the first time against an almost shot opponent and now think he is a lanky, slow plodder with no pop.

If he ever grows the balls to fight Smith or be avoided he will get embarrassed.

This is clearly the first time many of you have seen him fight. Benavidez didn't come out of first gear. He beat Dirrell up with a jab. When Benavidez lets his hands go he becomes special.

Benevidez looked slow as fugh last night
Comes on straight with minimal head movement and the pop you speak of was missing
Had he not cut Dirrell this would of been a decision win , no attempt whatsoever to ko him
Hopefully for his sake this was ring rust
