both were throwing low blows. Porter started it and Spence took it to the extreme. That's what you're supposed to do. Porter even hurt spence with a low blow later in the fight. If someone hits you low, hit them back. Lomachenko should have done the same thing. Don't complain about it, get even.

      Lol. Can’t green you again.

Compubox was atrociously off last night. I was porter throwing and landing so many more punches than they recorded. Smh.

Idk, all fans are different. I can appreciate your point, but I much prefer to see a few more draws than to see lop-sided scorecards that nobody agrees with. As a fan, I want to see scores that actually reflect what happened in the ring.

I have not seen the fight, so this is purely an observation on the people on the threads:

For those who thought Porter was robbed on the main thread last night- and that sure seemed like the majority of those posting- I heard a whole ton about "I can hardly wait until the CompuBox numbers come out" as most thought Porter should have won on more accurate and/or busier punching.

Well, the CompuBox numbers are here. And now there are those blowing them off as well as they show Spence slightly more active and far more accurate.

          Okay. Sure.

            Distract

I can 100% understand that. And as a boxing fan, I get it. There is so much bad judging that something HAS to change. Personally, I just feel judges need to be held accountable more. I feel all three judges need to be available before the fight to the press to answer as to what they are looking for in a fight, and then after to answer for the scorecards. I think there should be a sanctioned committee that judges the judges, grading them by what the committee feels is a set standard.

But since we all know that will not happen like ever, maybe even rounds might help. I just hate draws. Personal preference.

It always amazes me when an entire broadcast team acknowledges how close and difficult a fight will be to score, but then they show the cards and not one judge (or commentator either) scored an even round over twelve rounds.
Yea its a legit issue & to me it also keeps the bad judges around longer. I think having some distinction as mentioned would get bad judges weeded out quicker if their cards were analyzed better via having more choices.

And I can’t remember which round it was but Spence was getting the classic porter mauling around the ring and it said Spence landed more punches when I I know he didn’t.
If you were watching a crappy stream then that makes sense. Because Spence was using James Toney counter punches in between defensive motion. Porter landed maybe half of what he tried to land; the rest either winged or hit arms and shoulders. Spence was troubled in the trench but fought out like a warrior every time.

The reason it seems to you guys that Porter was more effective is that Spence was throwing for accuracy. When he did throw, he landed more often than he didn't with the exception of 3 clear Porter rounds. I had four swing rounds, two of which I gave to Porter because Spence seemed to lose focus at points. At least three rounds were very, VERY hard to score because both guys had success.

The 115-112 is the best possible scorecard. I could give more rounds to Spence if all I cared about was accuracy. In no universe can I see a Porter win. Even if he hadn't gotten dropped a draw is the best I could see.

Even more than that, Spence was using the jab to throw Porter's rhythm off initially. When Porter figured it out, the jab became less effective and more range finding.

But we already knew that was going to be the outcome. Nobody has managed to keep Porter off using a jab and Spence isn't that ******. But he had to do something to try and nullify what he knew was coming.

Meanwhile Porter did exactly what Kenny said to do and it worked for him - stand your ground, slip a punch and go in, don't stop, keep going. Even at the point he got dropped, it was when he was fighting on the backfoot. When he went forward Spence's jab was nothing. That's what Mikey failed to do - get respect from Spence and stop running. Same strategy as with Golovkin.
