How is it Canelo’s fault that he forced a catchweight on Chavez that left Chavez unable to compete? Is that really a question?First of all, Chavez made 168 for Britsch. For a Canelo payday, would you give Chavez and Nacho Beristain benefit of doubt that they would be able to do 4 more lbs for a Canelo PPV? How is that Canelo’s fault? 4lbs from Britsch for a mega payday is unreasonable?
What do you mean illegal? The contracts can be renegotiated between Chavez and Canelo to not Jeopardize the fight. Doesn’t the state commission acknowledge an advanced anti doping agency being responsible for a fight if that’s whom were doing it? Was Oscar needing an IV for Pac illegal?
Turns out that most every fighter has a price for which they will sell themselves. Floyd abused Canelo in a similar way. Now the abused has become an abuser. This is textbook stuff here.
And yes, prefight IVs of the type you seem to be implying, are illegal.Comment

If Canelo fights Kovalev as he did against GGG in the first fight, which I predict he’ll do, move around, then he can help Kovalev reduce stamina assuming he’s at his ultimate prime in defense to make him miss a lot. Furthermore many people are only focusing on Canelo’s body attack plan and not being realistic that Kovalev’s punch is the heaviest boned opponent so far.
Everybody knows I’m Canelo army, but I think this fight is 50/50 just to give Kovalev benefit of doubt that he’s being advised to fight conservatively like Spence did with Mikey. Mikey couldn’t rely on counters because Spence didn’t give that planComment

First of all, the only reason this fight even came to play was because months prior Canelo lost 8mil+ lawsuit to All Star boxing so GBP helped him recoup the loss with the Chavez PPV. The Chavez family and Nacho Beristain himself said the catchweight wouldnt be a problem.
Chavez Jr. is a loose cannon making fights. When he was on HBO making 160 I’m willing to bet he was the most biggest rehydrated fighter in Middleweight history the same UFC could hit 30lbs of water. Then the UFC required regulation to stay afloat by contracting USADA. Canelo and Crawford have been known to hit 18-19lbs of water in their early ages. Chavez Jr. could do 25lbs+. It’s not Canelo’s fault HBO allowed Jr. to do that just to boost their subscriptions.Comment
