Fonfara stopped Chavez Jr., Canelo, Martinez couldn't

Just a reminder a non-puncher at LHW knocked out arguably the most durable guy at 160 & Chavez came in at 172 meaning he was 200lbs+ on fight night.

But Zombie Chavez at 160 went the distance twice with Canelo & Martinez both considered hard punchers.

Shows you what a madman Canelo is & how strong 175 is, if Fonfara could do that imagine what actual LHW punchers would do.

Because he fought a light heavyweight who can punch instead of natural middleweights lol.

I mean what's the big puzzle here?

Chavez Jr. has been for years very risky business going to the scales. I actually believe Chavez Jr. didn’t even make the scales for Canelo and was allowed to take something. He had suspect marks in both shoulders. It was expected to make 1mil+ PPVs so had it been cancelled would’ve been disastrous for fans and everyone. With that in mind, Chavez Jr. was more dead than Oscar vs Pac even with the IV allowance.

Canelo knew it. Felt the fight was pathetic because of this allowance to Jr. It’s the reason why Canelo didn’t even sit on his stool all rounds because he felt ashamed should he have acted.

That’s a confusing post. Are you saying Canelo was embarrassed because he supposedly allowed Chavez to employ illegal measures to make weight or because he forced an unreasonable catchweight on Chavez to begin with? If it’s the latter, then that’s understandable. If it’s the former then that is some serious princess attitude.

What he is saying is Canelo didn't care that Chavez Jr was overweight because Canelo was on the gear.

First of all, Chavez made 168 for Britsch. For a Canelo payday, would you give Chavez and Nacho Beristain benefit of doubt that they would be able to do 4 more lbs for a Canelo PPV? How is that Canelo’s fault? 4lbs from Britsch for a mega payday is unreasonable?

What do you mean illegal? The contracts can be renegotiated between Chavez and Canelo to not Jeopardize the fight. Doesn’t the state commission acknowledge an advanced anti doping agency being responsible for a fight if that’s whom were doing it? Was Oscar needing an IV for Pac illegal?
