Some in the boxing media played a big part in this. I remember there was an article posted here by Thomas Hauser who suggested Haymon be lynched like his biblical namesake. And the editor at the time, Steve Kim, didn't see a problem at all with it.

I agree with your general point of view, but the only person making Oscar look bad is Oscar. Dude has been doing all he can to drive GBP off the fuckin' cliff. LA Times paints an accurate portrait of his and Gomez's conduct.
