    Makes no sense.
ironically they're the ones who are already calling him a 4 division champ lol

That’s not exactly how it works or went at 68. The fielding and callum fight was some 4ish years ago. Fielding became WBA champ before Callum did last year iirc. It was silly as hell that they crown a champ and then made groves v callum later in the year ALSO for the wba belt. This is just the WBA being ridiculous to the point that you cant say either wasnt the champion.

GGG defended all those times and Canelo is a 3 weight champ. I honestly don’t have it in me to nitpick it like that. I’ll just go with both.

Golovkin had 14 legitimate defences from when he was the sole WBA Champion (when Geale vacated at the end of 2012).

        Canelo isn’t a 3 weight world champion.

But I’m sure you’ll ignore this widely held point of view because it doesn’t fit your agenda

Golovkin won the belt and defended it (along with the IBF title) over 20X.
Canelo has a history of picking a weak title holder, winning a belt and either vacating or moving to a different weight class to avoid defending the title.
The diva has done it at 154 fighting Smith, at 160 fighting Cotto and at 168 fighting Fielding.

So with 5 defenses will Bivol be upgraded to Super champ? Is that even still a rule the WBA has? Was Golovkin upgraded after 5 defenses? They don't follow their own rules so I have no idea.
They don’t have a consistent system for super champions anymore. For us, that’s easiest way to track is to count a sole WBA Champion, or the Super Champion.

There’s only been 1 case where the sole WBA Champion was superseded by a vacant WBA super champion, with Davis, but it’s rare

I have no issue with that at all and have never called Canelo a 3 weight champ...and he only defended the super title 8 times starting with Rubio

And nobody has an answer for the Davis thing either.

WBA is a ****ing joke. Last year they said they were finally going to start doing away with the regular/super bull**** and only have one champ per class, and now they brought in the gold belt so there are 3 per class! If it were up to me, it wouldn't be the WBO that PBC was ignoring, it would be the WBA. All the promotional companies should stop recognizing it.
